Hiya,
I usually have my cheat day on either Friday or Saturday depending on what I have on. Next friday I have my work christmas party and then on Saturday I have my little sisters leaving party (I live in Wellington New Zealand, and she is moving to the Uk ). I want to have them both as a cheat day...
Do you think it would be okish to just eat non cheating most of the day on Friday and Saturday and then cheat both nights??????
What would you do?

i'd cheat both days - just do plenty damage limitation before hand.
hit the gym maybe before you head out to raise insulin sensitivity?
do some air squats in the toilet cubicle , and maybe don't cheat in the mornings of the 2 days. ie only cheat at the actual party(s) keep the rest of the day slow carb.
i wouldn't worry about it too much i mean how often are you going to have to cheat 2 days in a row? doing it this 1 time and 1 day extra isn't going to damage your progress thaaat much, long term.
hehe if you get really really drunk you'll be too hung over to eat the sunday, you can do an intermittant fast, to make up for your extra cheat day (kidding)0 -
i agree - stay slow carb for as much of the day as you possibly can. when you do cheat, cheat small - only have one piece of pizza, just a sliver of cake, etc. try to drink a TON of water, and if possible do a small glass of grapefruit juice before your cheat food (if you're at a pub, they should have some). like fatdogmendoza said, throw some air squats in every chance you can (with all the water you should be drinking, you'll be in the bathroom a lot! hehe). you don't need to be a slave to dieting on this plan, but trying to do as much damage control as possible is always a good thing.
most importantly, have fun! by sunday you'll be ready to get back on plan and kill it all week0 -
i'd agree, I think a planned cheat on this or any other diet is a lot different from an unplanned cheat where you risk falling off the wagon completely. and i think even though your cheating 2 days in a row, you should still be fine if you limit the damage. For me the worst kind of cheat is those times when i say, ill just have one small bag of crisps (chips in american lol) or one scoop of ice cream, it always ends up being a 12 pack multipack or a whoel tub of icecream, a 1 off cheat becomes a week long binge. and i think just as important as anything else, make sure you jump straight back in on the monday.
also along with the grape fruit and water, air squats etc, try cinimon before eating, apperently it increases insulin sensitivity.0 -

All good suggestions, I will try to do as much of it as I can. It might be a good test of results actually since im sure with christmas coming up there may be a few other weeks like this! (hopefully not many...)0
