I looked at about a million online and went to visit about 3-4. It's important to have at least a few to compare to! :)

I looked at tons online, but then limited myself to visiting 3. I have found that you could search for ever for all of these things, and really drive yourself crazy. It is really just better to limit yourself!

  • Well........the venue yesterday was stunning!! Not to everyones taste but its very 'us' which is the most important thing!! One thing though.....the date we wanted has gone, someone pipped us to the post (damn them!!) So we are looking at April 6th 2013 instead. Have to ring the registrars tomorrow to see if its available and if so we are booking it! Heres a link to the venue:

Its very quaint, intimate and gorgeous senery! If anyone from the UK used to watch Heartbeat this is the village it was filmed in x

We looked at only one but that was because we had a last minute change of wedding dates and instead of having 18mths to plan we had 6mths so luckily our first choice had a spare space due to a cancellation...it was meant to be..lol

We only looked at one. That may have been dumb, but the venue is beautiful and is a mini castle-like building. It was actually a memorial building built in the 1920;s to honor soldiers. It is perfect for my vintage themed wedding!

We only went to one because it's where we got engaged and they blew us away! It's The Umstead Hotel and Spa in Cary, North Carolina.

we only looked at 2 because we were a bit behind on the planning and needed to lock down a place before there were no fall 2012 dates left. When we went to the second place, though, I fell in love and I can't wait to get married there :) My fiance knew I would love it...
