Day ten challenge!

Good morning CAD'ers!
I was a little disappointed by how few people participated yesterday. Hopefully today will be better! :D

Today's challenge: No soda! If you're a soda drinker, swap it for some water or unsweetened tea today.

Why?
It's no secret that soda is bad for you. Regular soda is essentially sugar water, diet soda is a cocktail of potentially harmful chemicals, and carbonation leeches calcium from your bones.

    Oh your so mean with today's challenge ! Only teasing a day without diet coke could maybe start a trend for me ! Have a great motivated day everryone! It's still pitch dark here in Los angeles.

    I love this challenge. I don't drink soda. I will just have to drink more water anyway.

    haven't had a soda for almost 2 months now.... tried a diet soda and it taste so disgusting... this challenge should be easy for me... :love:

    Dont drink soda except with alcohol. And i have recently cut that out of my diet as well.

    That's easy!! I gave up soda 3 months ago...and don't miss it at all!!!:smile:
  • I can do this =) Big diet coke drinker, but after starting MFP and wanting to be healthier I've cut back by having only one at lunch and I'm down to one every other day. Hoping to soon be none, but migraines kick in hard after 2 to 3 days with no soda so that is why I'm still doing one every other day till I can get completely off of it. Thanks for this challenge Elle!

    I didn't have time to experiment in the kitchen yesterday, but I can definitely participate today. I think that the diet sodawas I was drinking was preventing me from losing weight. I haven't had any this week, and I can see a difference on the scale and in how I look. I hadn't been losing anything before and I haven't changed my calories or workouts. I still want one, but I want to lose weight more.

  • Hi! I just joined this group. I can do this because I rarely drink soda anyway. I haven't had Pepsi for years now, and only drink a Sprite or a root beer now and then. Even less since starting on MFP! :)

    I like that the first challenge I'm here for is one I can actually do!!

    (Time Zone) Well its the end of my dieting day and I'm ready for bed. Fortunately no soda for me too. :drinker:

    I do drink flavoured low cal sparkiling water, is that counted as the same? I hope not.

    Looking forward to the next challenge.

    Will you repeat any challenges because I missed the bubble bath and pampering session lol!

  • No soda for me! I was a heavy red-label, full sugar, Coca-Cola drinker before I joined this site, then started back up again right before I "started over" a month ago and started trying to eat a lot cleaner. I know soda is horrible for you and I'm glad I quit drinking it, but I was hoping to see some weight come off after I gave it up... and I didn't! :grumble:

    Can't wait to see what tomorrow has in store for us!

    I don't drink soda on a daily basis; however, I had already opened one when I read the challenge this morning. :(

    I actually failed this challenge today, which is so disappointing, since I hardly ever have soda anymore! I read the challenge too late, and had already had a diet iced tea earlier on :(

    Although I have easily given up regular sodas and juices, diet soda is my crutch lol! The last time you challenged this my water intake trippled. :)
