Make a list of foods you're allowed to eat unlimited amounts of like fruits, salad, veg, tea, coffee etc. Make another list of activities you enjoy which keep your hands busy eg cleaning, taking a bath, writing, exercise etc. Stick it on the fridge or kitchen door so when you're about to binge you can remember that there are alternatives.0

i say don't distract your self for now instead binge more for the time being but "be conscious" about your feelings before, during and after the binge. after a while u will start to see a pattern emerge of your binging habit and most importantly you will start to understand what triggers your binge episodes. e.g: emotional state , energy levels, previous meals etc. when u become aware of your triggers u can stop them easily.0

drink lots of water and chew gum (preferably really strong minty kind). i won't eat anything when i have gum in my mouth and water makes my stomach full.0

I was THE WORST binge eater... Boxes of cereal, cheese crackers, chocolate, all in one night. I agree with above. Don't try to just STOP. Let yourself do it again... Think and write down how you feel before, during, and after. I would get done and feel like a failure... Soon, you'll be aware of those feelings before you start and you'll think, is my binge really worth the feelings you get? I TRY to eat a high protein dinner which helps, then something sweet immediately after (bananas lately). I'm drinking crystal light, all flavors, in my water to get my sweet tooth satisfied... When I think about binging or look into the kitchen, I drink! I don't think the tendencies ever go away but I think people can learn to control it...0

Not quiet, just be aware of what u feel. though judging by your profile pic u don't need to do any thing really! honest.
Don't fight your self, it always wins, try to understand it instead. That's hard in the beginning only.0 -
dont restrict throught out the day..That is just setting yourself up. Get to hungry and say oh what the hel and then binge. Distract yourself..do something nice for someone(or even yourself), go for a walk im somebody on MFP. Dont agree with mohdksa..it doesnt always win. I have not binge in years..now I just dont eat and purge. There are a lot of people I know that are recovered so it is possible. Just t akes a lot of work. Keep fighting you can do it. also dont keep food you binge on in the house. If you are going to do it then make it really an effort to do so. It isnt about the food so much(unless you are starving yourself) It is about the sadness that you have. Do you see a therapist at all?0

I will eat something I want in a very small amount, and if that doesn't work I drink a cup or two of tea and that helps to curb the craving... especially yummy teas (creme of earl grey, peppermint). There's a million other things to do as well.. go for a little walk, appreciate how pretty it is, play a video game, journal if you are feeling really emotional. Try to identify your triggers and recognize the process that goes on when you come into contact with it - it can help you sort out what's really going on sometimes.0

I agree with identifying triggers. I am a stress eater, but now know that when I am stressed I need to eat throughout the day to avoid binging. Drinking a ton of water, and eating enough protein and fat also help me...oh and exercise. I also have triggering foods...identifying those has helped enormously.0
