Closing the Group at 20 or 25 Members

Hey, all: I'm thinking we should cap the group at 20 or 25 members or we'll start losing any personal connection to each other. The reason I started this group was to have a small, supportive nonjudgmental communtiy where we could all feel "known" and supported by each other. If it gets too big, I think we'll lose that feeling, which is the reason I wanted to create a group as an alternative to just posting on a thread. Others can feel free to start similar groups, but I just fear ours getting too unwieldy to be much of a support to us. Your thoughts?

I like the idea of a smaller group and would see no problem with that. It can still be opened back up and you could choose to accept new people if someone wanted to invite a friend in even if it was closed right?

I am fine with this also. But there will be times when group is small and inactive. I say lets try it. The group can always be opened up when and if necessary. I am in a similar group now and numbers are under 20. When it was only like 5 active members we invited others and deleted some and we always left door open for ones who had been inactive over 2 to 3 months with no explainations.

I THINK MANY WILL COME AND GO AS THE DISEASE WAXES AND WANES AND LIFE HAPPENS. AS THE FIRST TO JOIN ARE NOT VERY ACTVE, OTHERS MAY FIND THE GROUP AND KEEP IT GOING.

Dana, I think that is a good idea. The threads can get overwhelming!

This is true also. That is why I stated to see how it goes because there are definitely slow (VERY SLOW) periods when no one is supporting just because life happens. I don't remember a time when there have been too many but I do remember I could not keep up with all the newbies when I tried to come back to the orginal thread. I know I am active as my life permits me to do so and as needed.
