Well, I have been a slacker on posting our challenges. I ate and ate so horrible on Thanksgiving. Friday I felt so horrible. Headache, tummy ache, just blah. So, forgive me for not getting our weekly challenge in on time. I bet everyone is all messed up food wise huh? So maybe we will take it a bit easy getting back into the swing of things.
1. Drink, Drink, Drink. We need to flush out the sodium we have consumed.
2. How about we tackle something in the house this weekend. We didn't even have Thanksgiving at my house and it is just trashed. So, how about we set the oven timer for 15 minutes and clean as fast as we can in that 15 minutes time frame.
3. Anyone else skip logging? I did. I would have to get all the recipe's and input them. uh. So, I skipped it. I bet if I logged something I would haven't eaten so much. So, lets get back into logging our food.
4. Lets get someone else involved with our workouts. Find a buddy to work out with you. My goal this week is to try to get my Fat Lab on the treadmill. Our trainer said she can do it, so we shall see.
5. There's only a few weeks left till Christmas. Lets keep pushing, guys. For me, I think I will be on this site so much more to keep me going. I sometimes forget to log my workouts because I don't want to eat back exercise calories back. So lets show some motivation and log all workouts and post something to keep us going. Just even a little keep up the good work can get someone out of a funk.
6. Work out 5 times this week. Lets get back into gear after all that food! We can do it!
7. just for fun... try 10 push ups a day. any way you can do them, on knees or the hard kind will work. Let us know how you did!

Thanks for getting me back in gear! I have been logging but conventiently forgot to log things as I went--so I know I am missing lots of calories that way. This was my first Thanksgiving gluten free so I splurged on some goodies that I don't usually make or have like stuffing and a dessert that was specifically gf. Did my push-ups and 15 minutes of cleaning...now to find a work out buddy and really get moving! Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!0

Well, Today, I did my cleaning. my junk drawers were so bad, I couldn't hardly close them. Drinking was very hard for me today. I forgot to log it and now I have lost count. uh! It is so hard to get back into the swing of things! I got to 8 push ups and then I just couldn't do anymore. My work out buddy will be with me starting on Monday. She's full of family stuff this weekend.0

Well I did my cleaning challenge yesterday. I wanted my apartment clean before she came home from her dad's. So i meet that challenge. I am so horrible about water on the weekends and i have been completely slacking on the logging things. It has me eating 1200 calories which is so hard and low I think but i am not sure.
I am going to try to get to the gym straight after work on Monday before i pick up my kiddo. I wanna at least get 30 minutes in. What is everyone's average work out period?0 -

Nice! How old is your child? I have 13 yr old twin girls and a 9 yr old girl. I am trying to do the Slim in 6 from beachbody. I also have Juillian Michaels 30 day shred... AKA JM30ds, and the Leslie Sansone Walk away the pounds DVD's. I also am enrolled in a gym, that I haven't been using for the past week or so. Funny thing is, I have a treadmill in my unfinished boring basement and I can not do more than 10 minutes on it or I go crazy, but stick my on one at the gym and I can go 40 minutes. lol0 -
Well, I'm back today after taking about 2.5 weeks off. All the family visits really screwed up my workouts and eating routines. I'm happy to say that I'm back to work today. I found a great new iphone app (Nike Training Club) that will be a great addition to my cardio and strength training on the days I can't make it to the gym. Starting tomorrow I plan on doing these circuits first thing in the morning. It should be a great way to start the day.
Welcome back everyone who has been away. Let's make a strong push to the end of the year. It's only about 5 weeks. I hope to drop 25 lbs between now and then. I will have no more sweets/junk food except on 2 days (Family Christmas - December 23 and December 25).0 -
I was down not one but TWO pounds this week!!0

I was down not one but TWO pounds this week!!
Jenn, I'm also teaching my dog to run on the treadmill too, when I go home for christmas this weekend!! He's still a puppy, so he is in no way, shape or form FAT, but our old dog had to be put down because of a degenerative back disorder, and we really think it had a lot to do with his weight. so we don't want that happening to our new doggy!! (His name is Toblerone. As in the chocolate bar.... can you tell we're a MFP family?? haha!! We call him Toby for short. I can't wait to see him! ) He's SUUUUUPER HYPER though, so walking him on the treadmill when we can't take him outdoors would be a huge help!!
anyways, enough about my dog, haha! Challenges this week are going great. You're still going strong on coming up with new ones!0 -

So awesome! I have yet to get Molly on my treadmill. I have to get the room a bit more clean for her. She doesn't like my tiny path way. lol0 -
I have been logging food and water pretty carefully. The holiday season and dinners out are often reflected as quick calories. I will do the push ups and try to keep walking every day. I know how sluggish I feel if I don't get in some exercise. Anyone got a quick cure for the worries. I have so much on my mind, so many people who seem to be depressed, so many people I seem unable to help. I want to feel happy, but I feel like I am the life raft in a sea of sadness.
Sorry for venting; it did feel good.0 -
Hi, my name is Pam and I'm a slacker!
Sorry haven't posted in the last couple of weeks. Took off to Havasu for Turkey Day..
kids came in and we had a nice family week together. Of course, that included lots
of food and 'beverages'!!! Back to the grind...back to work and working out after
my shift. Started out with just myself and one other deputy. Now we have two more
deps, 2 code enforcement officers joining us. Trying to get the rest of PM shift on board.
Did so many squats the other nite, went to walk down the stairs and my legs gave out..
had to use the elevator!:ohwell:
Miss talking to everyone and catching up...hope to get back into the routine of checking in
at least twice a week.......
Hugs to one and all
Happy and Healthy, that's us!

Hi everyone...after a "slacker" hiatus I have also returned. Last week was a very NAUGHTY week for me. The first in a really long time. Very little exercise and eating was atrocious. I've done really well this week getting back on the proverbial wagon, but I am having to go back through a detox of sorts. My body is craving the naughty foods. So far I haven't exercise in 5 days. Unfortunately I couldn't part of those days since my asthma was flaring up. Great news is that its leveled off and without steroids, so I plan to workout today, maybe twice. My goal is to get back to my lowest wt(and lower) from a few weeks ago of 244.5. I have only gained 2.5 lbs, although I am afraid it may be a little more Friday. I think i will do a 5 day diet soda fast again!!! Its funny that one of the challenges is pushups this week. I have to do the Presidents Test on Fitness for a project in my Exercise and Fitness Across the Lifespan class, which includes push-ups as a way to test your muscular fitness. I'll post the URL, and challenge everyone else to take it too! *smiles sweetly*.

Since I didn't get a chance to say it last week. I am thankful for MFP as well as this group and the people in it!! So blessed to have a super strong support structure, you all are a big part of that!
