...I thought "oh did the wife come out yet...the brother?"...
On "Talking Dead", Robert Kirkman confirmed that Hershel's wife was the lady zombie that had her cheek blasted off, exposing her teeth. Good stuff.

He pretty reluctantly admitted that, tho. I dont think he wanted Nicotero saying it.

Shane flipped out too much I cant stand him. I am dieing for FEB now lmao I knew when I heard that last groan that it had to be sophia it was sad but i am glad Rick was the one to kill her. Shane put them in danger doing what he did no one knew how many there were in there i think he needs to go he annoys me.I am glad Daryl was there to stop shopias mom from going to her, and loved how glen asked his girl if it was ok to go shoot. I felt bad for hershel i mean i hate he had them in there but they def do no tknow what it was like in the real world and I felt bad for them for how it went down...no matter what right or wrong it is hershels land. he helped them and then they come in and take his land over. cant wait till feb

I agree about Shane, I really can't stand him anymore. The ending of this episode was def dramatic.. you could just see the heartbreak all over Hershel's face.

Agreed with all of this. I was SO angry at Shane for everything. For threatening Dale, for being such a *kitten*, and for being so cocky as to think that the baby is his. BLAHHHH. I want him dead already.

With how horrible Shane behaved....I'd like to point out that he didn't have the balls to shoot Sophie.

I wondered if for a moment, he understood why Herschel kept his family in the barn like that.

i so agree he saw her and backed up and made a face like he was so upset she was in there. no one but Rick had it in them and I think it was partly cause he wanted to prove he was in charge (which they kinda confirmed in the talking dead aftershow) and he felt responsible.

on the talking dead they said that the girl who plays Sophia said to her mom how she loved the show and loved being on it and that she hoped to never be a zombie and the guy said he felt so bad to have to make her one haha and her and normon have a great bond he said he loved that kid so much and she calls him her boyfriend lol so cute i liked her she was a good actress, sucks she is killed off but shows no one is safe

I laughed so hard when the moment came for someone to kill Sofia, and in the end it was Rick who had the balls to do it. My boyfriend told me I was so wrong for laughing but it's true! He was such a DOUCHE the past like three episodes and he couldn't even bring himself to kill her.

How do you know Shane didnt have the balls to kill Sophia? I'm sure he would have if Rick wouldn't of. He has already said he would do anything to keep the group safe. He probably knew Rick would be the one to want to do it. I still don't think this shows Rick should be in a leadership position.

If Shane would have had the balls to kill Sofia he would've done it. He just stood there in shock like everyone else did. Rick was the only one who actually reacted.

Yep. I'm sure that frozen, stunned look on Shane's face was on purpose.

I have new respect for Glenn and what he told Maggie. Especially when he said her name and she told him through tears that it was OK that he help defend against the released walkers.

I wanted to shoot Dale myself. Taking it upon himself like that to hide the guns. Shane seems like he's going crazy. It's annoying and thrilling at the same time.

And I really hope Daryl and Carol don't hook up. That would be too cliche. I was digging their connection. I just want don't want it to turn romantic.

And yes, I cried when Sophia came out. It was indeed predictable. I knew it was coming. But I still cried anyway. Especially for Carl. When Lori told him not to watch.

I friggin' knew Spohia was in that damn barn. Did that crazy old man know she was in there all this time? If so, WTF??? I sure hope they leave the farm soon cuz I am sick of the place. I feel bad for Sophia's mother. :\

On "Talking Dead", after the show, Kirkman pointed out that Hershel mentioned to Rick that it was Otis that would corral the walkers. Otis found Sophia and put her in the barn. Shane killed Otis before Otis had a chance to hear about Sophia, and tell them that she was in the barn. So, you can blame Shane. I would imagine that this will come up next episode.

Anybody else worried about their ammunition supply? They were blasting away and I had two thoughts - they're advertising fresh meat to all the walkers in the area, and what will they do when they run out of bullets?

I had to stay out of this group until I had the chance to see the episode! I finally saw it yesterday!

Sophia being in the barn was a no brainer. If Shane hadn't lost his cool, Old man would have kicked them off the farm and they would never have known what happened to her. I mean what were they going to do.. start coralling walkers? I mean really?? I love Shane.. he's got balls to say what others are only thinking. He has saved Rick's family how many times now? You would think Lori would be more appreciative.

It wasn't his place to shoot Sophia.. Rick was the one that left her there when he could have easily killed 2 freaking walkers with her near by. She was hidden anyway. Dale is becoming an annoyance.. what the heck was he thinking trying to hide the guns!?

    I pink puffy heart Daryl!!

I totally agree with you on pretty much everything. MAYBE they would have eventually found out Sophia was in there, but you are right, Shane losing his cool like that at least finally gave them the answer.

Dale adds no value to this show for me. I'm done with him.

Daryl is the best character on the show right now, with Glenn coming up close second the last couple episodes. My concern though is what it will do to Daryl when Merle returns. Because you KNOW he's out there, waiting to come back at some point.

I didn't really care about Sophia or her mom (who my sister and I have nicknamed "Nice Things" from the 1st ep of this season), but I did shed a mini-tear when they showed Carl crying! It broke my heart.

Shane is a sexy beast. I don't care how out of control he gets... it just shows that he's passionate and that makes me love him even more, haha.

    Also, I HATE DALE'S NOSTRILS.

She's old enough to listen and stay put. She didn't.

Had Shane NOT killed Otis AND they happened to have survived to get back...They'd have found out Sophia was in the barn. Daryl wouldn't have been hurt.

Character development, tho, would've been stalled. So Im fine with how it went.

I still want to kill Shane, which is sad because Jon seems like a great actor and great guy

Sometimes no matter how upsetting a story can be, the plot has to move along the way it does.

I will never argue with the makers of this show, they seem to know what theyre doing
  • I just have to say, I ****in' KNEW IT about Sophia being in that barn. Plus, I hope Shane becomes a zombie because he's a ****tard. I guess he keeps it dramatic though.

Not that it matters now but Rick def could have killed that damn walker instead of trying to draw it away. After hiding, Sophia was instructed to head back to base and keep the sun on her left (or right), not stay put.

I just watched that scene again to see and right after they shoot the wife they pan to Hershel crying and shaking his head. Very sad :(

I have to say, though, for all the target practice, did you notice they were shooting the walkers in the chest 2 or 3 times before they hit their heads?! THERE was a was of ammo!!

Screw crazy ole Hershel. Thx for saving Carl and providing a 'seemingly' safe haven but get off your high horse dude. Those walkers are DEAD and there isn't any saving them so why go get even more like the ones stuck in that creek bed? He KNEW Sophia was in that barn. (I know, dude on the TTD show afterwards said yadda yadda yadda...)

'scuse my late entry into the conversation, please. I finally got to watch it last night.

So, this would mean that Sophia turned almost immediately after getting lost, right? I was thinking Carl got shot the day after Sophia got lost. And Otis was killed later that night. So he would have found her almost immediately.

I guess it doesn't matter. I was just thinking of the time line, and my mind went in to mom-mode. If I were in Carol's place, I would play the possible scenarios in my head, over and over, and wonder what my child suffered. But I can be a lil' neurotic at times.

I'm curious to see how that grand finale will affect all the characters in future episodes. It was a pivotal moment...you had several characters clinging to a hope that was crushed. How will that change them? Will the others side with Shane's survive-at-all-costs mentality? How will Rick handle the Sophia issue...from feeling responsible for leaving her at the creek to having to pull the trigger?

Sigh. February is so far away. Patience may be a virtue, but I'm just not that virtuous :)

Yeah! I mean someone 'in the know' knew there was a lil girl in that barn ....and why keep so many walkers??? I mean I can kinda get why to keep your dead old wife n *kitten* but why coral other walkers that have no meaning to you at all? Sick my @SS....they are WALKING DEAD, Hershel! I'm kinda pissed at that whole farm family right now for that.
