I have about 5 tubes of mascara because for some reason I can't resist trying all different kinds! My favorites are:

    1. Lancome Definicils: this is a classic
    2. Wet 'n Wild Megalash Clinical Mascara: surprisingly good for a low price (maybe $5)
    3. Avon SuperShock

I can't stand a mascara that flakes, and none of these do for me. I lightly roll the mascara wand on a square of toilet paper so there isn't any excess when I apply it, then I use a mascara comb after the mascara dries so each lash is separated.

I go through mascara every 2-3 weeks. What about y'all?

I use mascara every day, but I have more than one, so I don't go through them quickly at all. Mine are more likely to get thrown away because I'm bored with it, it starts to flake, or I just want an excuse to try a new one!

    About every month.

My lashes are so fair too that I only buy black. Gets boring after awhile.
  • My favorite so far is Tarte "Lights, Camera, Lashes" but I would like to try the "Organic Wear" from Physician's Formula, I've heard people swear by it ...

I'll have to try Diorshow. I've heard this from several people. I hope they make a waterproof.

I'm not crazy about purchasing mascara. You are only supposed to keep them 3 months after opening. I tend to use a tube longer than that -- maybe 4 or 5 months.

I always have a couple of "samples" to open and try. I go for the Free Gift with purchase offers and many of them include mascara. Two that I am "testing" and like: Clinique -- high lengths mascara. Pricey ($23.00) -- has a curved, fine tooth comb. Very nice result but I think I saw a couple of lashes fall out after removing with my Eye Makeup Remover.

Estee Lauder -- Sumptuous, Bold, Volume lifting mascara. A good product. Slightly less than the Clinique ($21.00), but still pricey. Don't get the waterproof. Read that you can't get it off your lashes easily -- even with eye make-up remover.

I'm currently using Cover Girl's "lash perfection" and I really like the brush on it. Seems to really lengthen my lashes.

Plus it's cheap...like me.

clinique high lengths is only 14.50, it's the same everywhere - I only know because I work at MAC across from them =D

Lancome Definicils. No matter what else I try - I always go back!

Thanks, Jennloella, for correcting me. $14.50 is a good price for the good Clinique Mascara. Sorry for my error.

i love the tubing mascara from blinc!!! doesn't add a ton of volume but so easy to take off and pretty water resistant too...until you get into a hot shower.

I ditch my mascara every 3 months, whether I've used it all or not. It's just too gross to keep longer than that.

    I wear waterproof.
