Is anyone familar with....

Is anyone familiar with any deity/semi-deity, god/goddess or otherwise named Adeena or Adena? I was trying to find an alter ego for working out and running when I feel strong and powerful. After a few days I settled on this name without reading it anywhere or finding out any info on the name. So when I work out, I am Adeena. I am fierce. I am strong. I am unstoppable.

And, yes. I realize that it is very close to Athena. :)

    I only found something similar to that name- Adiona or Adeona. A counterpart of Juno in a way. She was goddess of Safe Return. Perhaps your altar ego of Power and Strength, are bringing you a safe return to health and healthy weight. (weightloss can become dangerous ya know :) )

    Sounds like Athena and Diana together. Nice image of strength and fleetness. Sounds like a great motivator!

    Hey, might not be a Goddess, or might be but I checked a baby name side and found Adena which is an alternate spelling of Adina which is apparenlty Hebrew in origin and means Noble, Delicate.

    Sounds like the noble part would definitely fit what you're doing! Don't know if that helps!


    Also, just to maybe make you feel a little better, a friend of mine plays the Djembe (a lot of us do actually LOL) and he got the idea to name is drum "Anu" kind of out of the blue, didn't think much of it but then decided to google it and turns out that Anu was an ancient God of the Sky, Sumerian I believe, and he was known to be the bringer of Thunder and boy does this drum have an awesome "BOOM" to it... so you never know mabe Adena was an ancient Goddess ages back and people have just forgotten her.

    @hm_day, I have two, one is wood with a lamb skin head the other is made by Remo and it has a resin body and a "fiberskyn" head, it's some kind of fiberglass-sih material, they are sexy, I'll try and get a pic of "my boys" and see if I can post it.

    They sound gorgeous! I have a ceramic one that my High Priest and Priestess gave to me many years ago and I decorated it. I barely play, but just the feeling of it makes me so happy.

    i'm pretty sure it's a female version of Aiden - which means "firey". it's a strong name.
