I really love his whole "Oh woe is me, I'm the poor oppressed Christian who is denied the right to celebrate Christmas. Damn those gays!" vibe he has going. Pretty sure if your religion makes up the vast majority of beliefs in this country, you ARE NOT OPPRESSED.

Not only is he attacking gay rights, but also discriminating other peoples faith, I'm a Christian and in my faith Jesus said love one another as I have loved you. I love people because they are children of God.

Unfortunately, I think a lot of Christians do not share your belief.

I understand that, which is why I said "in my faith" that's my personal belief. And if he is the type of Christine as most common people, then he isn't living that commandment.

There are many terrifying politicians in the United States. It makes me homesick, sometimes. I read a while back that Michelle Bachmann's husband is a "professional" "gay deprogrammer."

Can't the Republicans find at least one candidate whose platform isn't based largely on hatred and reactionary social policies?

Well I'm a Christian (a Catholic to be specific) and Rick Perry's statement makes me ashamed to say I'm a Christian. It's people like him that make people think that all Christians are narrow-minded.

I have to agree with clintondene. I try to live by the commandment "love one another as I have loved you". Jesus didn't tell us "love other heterosexual Christians as I have loved you". The commandment doesn't discriminate or say only love specific groups.

No, that's what they're best at.

And for all the Republicans who are saying that God wants them to run for office, that's because God obviously want Obama to win.

I'm the same way. I think of it like this, if a gay person were to approach Jesus when he was still alive, he would not have harassed them about the fact that they're going to Hell, and telling them what they're doing wrong in their lives.

Another thing I don't get about these "Christian" people who are conservative; They don't want to pay taxes although Jesus clearly instructed people to pay taxes to Caesar even though he was corrupt.

It's Christians like these that make me want to tell people that I'm Jewish. At least more Jewish people seem to be open-minded

Oh, one last thing, Jesus was a Socialist. Just sayin'

My previous post seems to be a little all over the place. I'm like half-asleep and I like debating, I should know better than to post things on the internet while tired, but it was politics, and I just had to.

Seperation of Church and State, anyone? How about equality for all people? Nobody? Damn. Politics piss me off.

That said, that video has over half a million dislikes, making it the most disliked video in the history of YouTube. That's comforting.

Thanks for posting The Partisan's video response. I giggled, a whole bunch, and then shared with all of my lovies. <3

It gets better! The music chosen for the ad was composed by a gay man. A gay communist Jew to be exact. Love it.

Ron Paul. I agree with him so well that I've signed up to campaign for him. I'm fiscally conservative, I would never vote liberal but Ron Paul actually is very liberal on the social issues. He supports gay marriage, marijuana legalization, ending the wars but most of all that the government should be limited and stay out of people's lives and choices.

Don't get it twisted. Ron Paul does not actually support those things. He just feels the federal government should have no say in the matter. He's a staunch Christian who denies evolution and opposes abortion, he just doesn't want the federal government making any laws about it.

He'd want it to be left up to the states. That's a far cry from supporting gay marriage, legalization or any other social issue. If a state decided to not only outlaw gay marriage, but throw homosexuals in prison Ron Paul would support that as he sees EVERYTHING as a state's rights issue.

Ron Paul will get the federal government out of your life, no mistaking that. He'll get it out of your schools too, when he dissolves the Department of Education. And the EPA. And Planned Parenthood. And many other government programs people support.
