Hi guys
I am struggling to think of new ones if we share them it might help. Here was mine for last week.
1 No fizzy drink -
2 No alcohol (had friends over)
3 No carbs
4 no dessert (we always have dessert on a Sunday)
5 Stay in Cal goal even though on special spa day
6 No fizzy drinks (guess what I like to have when not eating sweets!)
7No crisps or snacks
I know I need more exercise challenges maybe. What have you all been doing?

Last week mine included 'no fast food' so this week a good one might be 'no sweets' lol
I had a goal to run in the morning since I knew I wouldn't have time that day after work.
Logging accurately was a goal too since I've been getting sloppy.
And this week mine is somewhat unrelated to food- to stop playing with my hair and picking at my skin. Those behaviors and reaching for food are all related to anxiety and not actually solving my problems, so Its still 'self control'.
My approach has been to look at my day, identify the place I'm going to be tempted or could do better, and set a specific goal for that time.0 -
We kinda get into the same challenge habits because well, we have the same bad habits that need to be curbed, so there's nothing wrong with using the same challenges. But when you know something different will be happening on a certain day (birthday party for instance) thats when you can switch it up... make a goal to avoid the cake/ice cream or what have you.
Some of the challenges I've been using are
no fast food
only water
no spending money on food/drink, only make my meals
limit my alcohol on the nights i go out
one of my bad habits when I'm making a sandwich to bring to work is to take a bite of that sandwich to see how it tastes. And sometimes this leads me to eat the whole sandwich lol So I also made a few goals to resist taking a bite.
I also have this blog with more ideas http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/jonzo21/view/daily-challenge-ideas-controlling-your-self-control-172063
if I see some good ideas on this thread I'll be sure to add them to the blog also!0 -
I fell off the wagon this week after trying to shake up my goals. In a plus it has helped me find what type of eating suits me.0

If you emerge from it knowing yourself better, I'd call it a win. Just be sure to apply that knowledge to make yourself better- you've tried it and you know it doesn't feel good, so jump back into healthy changes.
I really have found the most success with little changes adding up over time instead of going super-strict perfect 'clean' eating all the sudden.
I turned around yesterday at the grocery and realized I had a completely different cart than I would have had five months ago, and I've never told myself I 'couldn't have' anything.0
