Curious about people's opinions on women with abs?
I know that I personally am not stopping until I see at least some ab definition! Maybe genetics will turn out to play against me, but I find it incredibly sexy. I see women on the forum all the time saying the abs are "bulky, not feminine, not healthy, not attractive to any guys in real life" What are your thoughts on this?

I think a flat stomach or a 6 pack look great on women. If I could choose I would say ab definition, but not full blown ripped 6 pack, although I admire the work that goes in to them.

Having said this I do not find a flat stomach or full 6 pack un-sexy, just that I prefer some definition.

It is absolutely hot for 2 main reasons
    1. It looks great
    2. The amount of effort and dedication that it takes is itself very attractive

This is the one area where I am blessed genetically. My stomach is almost always flat (except when I let myself blow up to monstrous proportions). When I was riding professionally full-time I had a 4 pack and spent zero time doing anything to get it. Now that I am looking at 40 years old I am not willing to do what it takes to get a 6 pack but I find them crazy beautiful. Muscle definition all over is crazy beautiful.

I am indifferent. I can appreciate the hard work that went (goes) into them, but I don't think anything negative if a woman doesn't have a six pack. If it's a goal, go for it, don't let anyone stop you. There's always going to be a negative Nancy out there.

but I find it incredibly sexy.

I believe you answered your own question here.

I, too, find it damn hot!! I envy women who can get a six pack or even any ab definition. It is really hard for a woman to accomplish!
I see women on the forum all the time saying the abs are "bulky, not feminine, not healthy, not attractive to any guys in real life"

These very same women will also look at a woman with a slightly pudgy tummy and call her fat, lazy, and unattractive.

Isn't it disgusting what women will say about and to other women about their bodies? Even sadder is that they are only parroting what they were told by... ANOTHER WOMAN!

Also, why are these women speaking for what men find attractive in the first place? If I want to know what men find attractive, I think I would, I don't know, ask a man??? Men's tastes vary SO much that saying they like this more than that and they find x more attractive than y is kind of... lame.

*I* say... it is your body. Make it look they way YOU want it to look.

There probably are a mix of things that go into someones ability to have a six pack, but generally speaking it goes to show they care about their nutrition and self image. Terms like, 'unattractive', "feminine', and 'sexy' are all subjective to each persons opinion.

I'm in the camp of definition but not totally ripped, kind of like how mine look in my profile pic.

I like flat non-definited tummies AND six packs on the women. Either version can be present on a healthy fit individual, really it depends on genetics and where fat is stored and on overall body fat percentage. I honestly prefer a look of 18-20% body fat over 12-15% but that's just personal preference for my own body (not that I've gotten there yet but someday), not anyone else's.

And the "muscles are too manly" people on the main boards suck. Seriously, don't let them get you down. It's hard to not be insulted but really, it's their loss that they don't like muscles.

I do have a flat tummy - that's not my trouble area. And, actually, I haven't thought that much about a 6-pack (on me) until the last couple of months, but I think I've passed my "prime" to make that happen.

Which is okay. I am trying to work on lifting very heavy and moving towards much more all-over muscle definition. Who knows what will happen in my ab area?? It will be exciting to see what 2012 brings!!

For gals - I say, "go follow your dreams" and ignore ALL THE NOISE around you!! It's dumb to only want what everybody else says you should want....

I'm sure why it gets under my skin xD
The people coming in to my Hot Women with Muscles thread saying GROSS!!!! and "those muscle heads can't dance" and that they should grow beards... piss me off xD

I hate hearing it, too. It's like telling me that I will just look plain ugly when I reach my goal. I want to lash back and tell them how ugly 150 pounds is on someone my height and that they are stupid fools for setting that as their goal...but I don't. I just get pissed and walk away from the thread with the satisfaction that I will be hot and they will be 30% body fat.

Whenever I read people whining about women with muscles, I always think about AZackary...

She's fat (look at her profile picture), has been doing nothing but cardio for 13 years (where's the results?), and has the gall to say crap like "I don't like muscular arms."

Do I honestly care what someone like THAT thinks about my body?

    Not one bit.

I think abs on women are sexy as hell. Sunshine, don't pay any attention to the women who try to berate us for wanting to be strong, healthy and dare I say "muscular". I'm a firm believer in form following function. Let those who aspire to be feeble waifs try to live a full life. When I get the body I want it'll let me do anything I want, whatever that may be.

I think they are incredibly sexy. The closest I ever got was two summers ago. I had the start of a 4 pack (in the morning, at least). I think my body did not like being that low in the BF%, though. I was so hungry all the freakin' time that I eventually went a little off the rails. Looking back now, I can see that I what I thought was just "no willpower" was probably a legitimate hormone response that probably could have been managed with better refeeds and smarter training.

That said, I am really amazed by women who can maintain extreme leanness all the time. (Like Bodyrock Zuzana -- how in the heck does she stay looking SO ripped all the time!)

This, I like the nice flat stomach look with maybe a little definition.

I have spent an INORDINATE amount of time LURKING on "success stories" these past 2 weeks.

I'm actually quite convinced, just now, that I can do MUCH better on my abs (then they currently are - and "yes, they are flat").

So, I'm going to add that to my 2012 personal goals...why not??

    thanks, Sunshine, for this thread!

I love a 6 pack on a woman (... and man!). My goal is to get mine by this summer... Getting there slowly. I'd be happy with "just" a 4 pack, but 6 is my ultimate goal. I've had guy friends say they thought it looked 'weird' or even 'ugly', but I couldn't care less...

Women with 6 packs are sexy, and I can't help but admire the dedication it takes to get there; 'cause it's not easy!
