Good Morning Dark Green Team,
I hope everyone is doing well. I know the holidays are creeping up on us but we still have to keep in mind our goals. I will not be logging my food over the holiday. I will be here and will be mindful but I am not going to gorge myself.
Ok so not a lot of people have had any input on the team name so I am going to give you the three and let you vote:
1. Lean, Mean, and Dark Green
2. Thin it to Win it
2. Dark Greens getting Lean
The voting will close on Dec 29th I have to get it to CJ so please help.
Challenge ideas are needed., I want everyone to have a voice thru the challenge so please send me those ideas. I
Cheers and Happy Losing,
Lesley0 -

Hello Everyone,
My name is Teresa and I live in Ojai, California. I am 42 years old and have been overweight since my late teens. I have two children, ages, 19 & 20. I gained almost 130 pounds with their combined pregnancies and haven't lost any of it. I've tried WW and succeeded twice, but then gained the weight back. I have been on MFP for a year now and lost a total of 42 pounds but have gained about 10 to 12 of it back in the last month and a half. I joined this challenge to get motivated again and lose this weight once and for all. My mom died at the age of 55 because of her weight and I don't want to follow in her footsteps.
I like the name Mean and Lean Dark Green for our team. We can all do this so let's support each other and not only win this challenge, but get healthy for good!0 -

Hello team, sorry for the late response but work has been very hectic these past few weeks and occupying way more of my time than I would like. My name is Tanya and I have been a member of MFP for almost one year. I've lost about 34 lbs since joining this site and actually won a biggest loser contest at my job back in April. Couldn't have done it without MFP. However, I started slacking and gained about 8-10 lbs back. When I saw this challenge, I knew it would be exactly what I needed to get refocused and motivated to get back on track. I also really like the name Lean, Mean, and Dark green and look forward to participating in this challenge with other encouraging and motivating team members. We must all strive for success and motivate/push one another to do so. Can't wait. Please add me as well.
I wanted to add that I am 40 soon to be 41, a military spouse with 2 children (ages 4 and 15), and I am also a nurse so life has been kind of crazy lately as I mentioned before. I started my journey back in Jan. when I was fed up with being overweight after having my second child and not having the energy to do anything but exist. I took a good look in the mirror one day and decided it was time to make a change, so I joined the biggest loser contest at my job. My co-worker had also introduced me to MFP around that time, and it was a lifesaver with keeping me on track. I lost the weight and won the contest much to my surprise but felt great about what I had accomplished. I began to start on maintenance mode but life got in the way and I crept back to some of my old habits which is why I am here now. I want to lose the weight I gained back and finally achieve my original weight-loss goal, but this time I want to maintain these life-long healthy habits.0 -

Hi everyone! I didn't know until today that I was in on this challenge! I am in another b.l. challenge, and lost track of time.
My name is Ashley, and I am a 30 year old married momma of a 13 month old boy. I've always been overweight, but I want to change that and set a good example for my son. Im really excited about this challenge! Im dying to have a bikini body!
My current weight is 157 ( I lost 9 lbs last month!) and I don't have a goal weight. I just want to slim down and get STRONG!
Wishing everyone the best of luck!0 -
Dark green getting lean sounds good too. You got my vote.0

Just to throw some names out there: Dark Green Fat Blasters, Dark Green Fat Eliminators, Dark Green Pound Busters, Dark Green Fat Slayers, Dark Green Pounds Slayers, The Fat Killers (LOL), Dark Green Pound Punishers0
-
Hey everyone. I have been beyond busy. I swear my family celebrates Christmas for a week lol. Anyways, as you have seen we can not use Lean, mean, and dark green. We have to pick a team name and first challenge today. I also need your starting weights. Please private message me or email them to me. Lelliebugh@gmail.com.
So discuss among yourselves and let me know. I will be on here off and on all day.
Thanks,
Lesley0 -
Do you need starting weights today? Just I haven't weighed myself since monday!
ETA: I quite like the Pound Punishers as a name!0 -
You can weigh tomorrow and give them to me. I have to adjust them before the official start of the challenge.0
-
Fat fighters, pound pushers, my husband suggests couch taters to gladiators...lol.0
-
As of right now, Dark Green and getting lean or Pound Punishers will be our team name.
GirlAnachronismE is our co-captain
The first challenge will be at least 30 min of exercise a day. 5-6 days of the week.
Some of the other captains have created a side group just for their team and cj of course. I am thinking of doing that. If anyone has an opinion or is against it please tell me. Also weights in ASAP. I have to adjust them in the spreadsheet. Please send them via email or private mfp message.
cheers,
Lesley0 -
Sent my weight! Also, I'd prefer if possible to not have a name that's too like tangerine teams, though I am pretty easy about it. Don't really mind
ETA: and i think having our own group os a really good idea!0 -
I like pound Punishers to be honest. Also I am going to great a group tonight. It will allow for easier communication throughout the challenge. I got your weight thank you.0

In my current biggest loser competition we are assigned daily challenges and then a bonus for the week which we can complete for an extra point. Usually we have to walk a total of 8 miles for the week, plus different exercises such as butlers or crunches each day. Then we have our bonus- say 150 burpees to do if we want the point. We also ha e to stay under calories each day and drink st least 64 oz of water to get our points.
There were some interesting exercises though. I learned some new ones. Is that the way this challenge will work?0 -
Yes it will be similar. We will have a team challenge and a challenge from cj so you will have 2 challenges a week.0
-
Ok we are now officially the Pound Punishers. Our first challenge is 30 min of exercise a day. I will be creating a group for the dark green team so be looking for an invite. I still need current weight from many of you.
Thanks,
Lesley0 -
I'm looking forward to getting started!0
-
1st challenge is up! Woo!! Let's do this!! I think I'm going to try to do 10 burpees a day... what are other people thinking??0
-
Hey everyone, sorry I'm so late responding! It's been a busy few weeks. Anyway I'm 20, a senior in college, working full time and looking forward to getting healthy! I've had so many highs and lows but I'm ready to fully commit. Last year I lost about 40lbs but gained about 15 of it back! I'm excited to meet all of you and I enjoyed reading everyone's post on here!0
