Hi team,
I'm starting this thread to bring more team engage members together, and we can all discuss food topics or ask questions about nutrition.
Here are a few tips that I've learned which can help you get started.
To create a new workout in MFP
Click "Exercise" tab at the top
Click “My Exercise” at the top
Click the “Create Exercise” button
Enter the name of exercise like “P90X Chest & Back”
Select "Cardiovascular" as the exercise type
Add the time and calories burned
Click "Add Exercise" and you are done. Next time you "Add Exercise" it should be there.
Also you will want to customize your goals of that you can get a 50/30/20 or 40/40/20 percentage split in your nutrition. To do this follow these steps:
Click on “My Home” tab at the top
Then click on the sub-menu tab of “Goals”
Then click the button “Change Goals”
Select the radio button “Custom”, then click the continue button
You can change your net calories if you want.
Change your percentages for carbs, protein, and fat.
Then click the “Change Goals” button at the bottom
For your dietary accountability you will want to share your food diary with your friends. To do that follow these steps:
Click on “My Home” tab at the top
Then click on the sub-menu tab of “Settings”
Click on the link “Diary Settings”
I recommend also creating 6 meals a day on this screen.
Change your Diary Sharing to be “Friends Only”
Click the “Save Changes” button
