How do we log it?

This is probably a dumb question, but I'm new to all of this. How will we log this workout on MFP? Is it necessary to have a HRM? I don't have one and I'm pretty broke so I don't know if I can buy one :/ But I really want to be able to log it on MFP so I don't eat too many or too few cals.

I've read other comments where circuit training comes close to what the heart rate monitors say, so I'm going with that. I don't have a HRM. I'm new to all of this too, and there's no such thing as a dumb question :)

Excellent! Because yeah I was just looking at HRMs online and I had been unsure if I could afford one if they were like $10 - turns out the cheapest one I could find was $40! I had no idea! That's not a purchase I can make any time soon, haha.

    Thanks for the help!

For anyone who has a HRM or another way to calculate it, do you feel like MFP's calculations for calories are pretty close for circuit training? I feel like they're kind of low, but maybe that's just wishing it were more calories. Lately it's telling me about 220 calories for 20 minutes of circuit training, but I swear I'm working harder doing the video than I do on the machines at the gym, and they give me at least 300 calories per 20 minutes. What do you guys think?

Btw, I got my DVD late but did Level 1 Day 2 yesterday.

    Thanks!

I use my heart rate monitor and it does come pretty close to the cals logged on MFP, it´s not as many cals as I´d like though, feels like it should be a lot more !
