Pick yourself up and start again

I started this programme in November with everyone else (I set up the group even) but that didn't necessarily mean I was any better prepared or psyched up for c25k than anyone else.
Fell off the wagon big style right in the middle of week 2. Was feeling abit ashamed at this and didn't seek the support of the group (wrong move).
But there is no shame in saying - ok I was cr@p, but I've picked myself up and started again. In the last couple of weeks I've quietly done my sessions and am right back where I fell off the wagon.
So I'm back - no other targets except finish this and join all those who have/are about to graduate and be proud of what I will finally achieve

I'm new. Hope you don't mind me barging in. This is probably my 4th attempt to get through the c25k. I usually fizzle on week 3 but I want to run. I want to be a runner!0

Barge ahead!
Just post on the weekly threads or create a new topic and I'm sure those who've gone before us will offer tips and encouragement.
We WILL become runners and join the 'Graduated Club'0 -
I am so proud of you ladies for restarting!!!
This is also my second attempt at the program. The first time I stalled in week 5... the dreaded 20 minute run terrified me (Don't be scared! You can do it!)! I had some difficulty sticking with the program this time two - specifically around Thanksgiving and Christmas! However, I am back to it now and about to begin Week 8.
You can do this!0 -

Yeah, so glad you are back (and you too Bobbi29)... and welcome lawoods! Shydaisi, you keep me motivated with your exercising and weight loss!! For the last 10 days, I haven't done C25K. We live in CA at pretty much sea level and on flat ground. I spent the last 9 days in CO at 6,000+ feet in mountains. We tried to do our runs, but only lasted a minute at that altitude! I knew it would be more difficult, but MAN, it was hard. We ended up walking it all. Now I'm back home and have to get started again!0 -
Aw, thanks! :flowerforyou:
Oh, yeah, running at that altitude would be killer! I live in the Appalachian foothills, so there are PLENTY of hills around here, but I am trying to avoid them right now, sticking to mostly flat courses.0 -
Me too. Just going to "start over." My plan is to start this week and do the last three weeks of the program. I want to be done with the program by the end of the month. I know I can do this, it's just hard to start over again.0
