First Week Weigh In - 7 January 2012

So guys,
It's nearly the end of the first week of this Challenge. How are all my little sweets feeling? has your week gone well?
I want you to give me 5 (or more) positive things that have happened to you this week - doesn't have to be exercise/diet related. Positivity is the way forward so my 5 are:-
1. Caught up with a few friends
2. Did two outdoor workouts (usually workout indoors) - sooo much better!!!
3. Order my Xbox Kinect
4. Did 4 of the 6 Challenges (hoping to do the other 2 tomorrow)
5. Went to bed at 10pm every night

1. Started going to the gym again after it was closed for Xmas and already I can feel my Xmas belly deflating!
2. Started the 30 Day Shred yesterday (I felt it when I walked down the stairs this morning!)
3. I was looking at my holiday photos from last year and I can see a big difference in myself now. About a stone and a half of a difference!
4. Tried on the clothes I wore last year on Xmas day and they looked like someone elses clothes I was wearing. Plus the fact that last year the trousers were cutting into me and the top was tight.
5. I just feel altogether more positive and this year I KNOW the weight will be gone for good! :bigsmile:0 -
1. Started not smoking programme
2. Taking doggies out for more walks (even in the rain)
3. Doing more challenges on other sites.
4. Started cooking more to take emphasis off wifey..
5. Add more friends on XBOX and Kinect for Biggest Loser and other fitness games..
I got about four more to add, but I suppose they are the major ones for me.
Gotta go now and make Turkey stew for rest of family.. mm mm..

wow everyone is doing great so far...and remember guys no matter what the outcome tomorrow we need to keep going!! don't be disheartened if there is no movement on the scale just tweak your plan a little next week and keep going. I'm sure we will all have done amazing though, so proud of everyone!! Let's keep up the good work.

i have oly changed 2 things
1. av stopped eating sugar
2. stopped overeating0 -
My improvements:
1. I haven't eaten any candy or desserts all week!
2. I have cut my 2 large cups of coffee in the morning to 1 large cup.
3. I have stayed under my calorie goal every day!
4. I have gotten some sort of exercise every day!
5. I have started the new off right!0 -
1. Started the 30 day shred (now on day six it is tough !)
2.Bought an HRM so started properly logging exercise0 -

Oh lordy 5 things? I don't know if I have that many... lol
1. I have consistently worked out for at least half an hr every day. i want to get this back up to 1 hr+ like I was doing last spring.
2. I got to spend a lot of quality time with my husband all week.
3. I bought new jeans on Tuesday and yesterday they were already feeling a little looser. I hadn't put them on in two days.
4. Our closing costs for our house came in under budget so we were able to use the extra money to pay off the extra stuff that had creeped up and had to be put on the credit card.
5. WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!
Coming up for week 2? My birthday and my daddy coming to town!0 -
This week did go by fast!
1. I've done my jumping jack and squat goals daily.
2. My husband has noticed a difference and is very supportive (he watches the baby while I work out).
3. I have discovered how truly awesome and fun Zumba is.
4. Although I've had a few poor choices food wise, I'm doing way better than ever.
5. I am proud of myself regardless of everything, and am grateful for all the support my MFP friends have given me.0 -
5 Fabulous things for the week:
1. Mastered swimmer's presses - had never heard of them before.
2. Wrote out my 2012 goals and shared them with my friends & family.
3. Started my debt reduction program - all bills paid including home with 6 years.
4. Rode the recumbant bike today for 14.25 miles in 60 minutes on Level 7 while reading a magazine I might add.
5. Our family attended our church's Wed night Family Night. This is a new activity that we are starting to do on Wednesdays.0 -
OMG! I can't believe I lost 4.5 pounds in a week! It's amazing what can happen when you stop eating all those holiday goodies!0

I am not sure if I can think of 5 things
1.drank almost 14 glasses of water a day (except yesterday)
2. Have done all of my challenges for the week
3. spent some quality time with my daughter
4.walked 5 miles a day ( except yesterday)
5. trying to reduce refined sugars
I hurt my knee doing something on Thursday so had a rest day yesterday!

i managed to go to crossfit four times in a row
i stood up for myself at work so i got sunday morning off
i helped my friend move out of her flat and got her off to a good start in her new life without her fiance
ive decided to try and go unlimited at crossfit
we put a pole up in our flat and i have done pull ups on our pull up bar - want to try and do some every day
i ran for the first time since being injured!!0 -
hey guys how you doing i havent lost a pound this week dnt know y may b coz m closer to my goal weight just need to lose the last 6 kg, i have 6lbs n 1 pant size but i would like to lose some more m uk size 10 currently n want to go down to uk size 6 just 13 more pounds n 2 more pant sizes as soon as i reach my goal size i will stop the diet coz av got hugeeeeeeeeeeeee thighs0

1. I am limiting my cal intake to 1200. I may have gone over slightly the first day or so but now I have the hang of it.
2. On monday, I was only drinking one can Mt. Dew a day (I am a Mt.Dew addict). By Thurs and Fri, I went all day and didnt have any softdrinks!!
3. I am logging everything I eat, I sure makes you think about what youre eatting.
4. Today I am starting my exercise regime.0 -

Yes Welcome and I agree with Sonya....make sure you eat at LEAST 50% of the calories you burn on exercise days back plus the 1200 you will need the energy, obviously healthy foods though hehe!0 -
