Okay people let's hear it ... What are your opinions of this (shorter) Yoga routine? I will be doing it after work and will post more then.
IMO Don't skip this workout. Is it a high calorie burn? No. But since Phase 1 is about core stability and balance this is, IMO, an integral part of the first phase.
Will check back later.

Hey Karen,
I'm doing it tonight when I get home. I hope it's shorter then P90X.0 -
Well, Yoga is in the bag for me... I can't say I liked it but it did work the core well. I am going to keep doing it even though I HATE Yoga. I explain it better on my blog: p90xtremetraining.blogspot.com0

Murf; It's 67 minutes and I've heard it's much faster paced then the OG Yoga X0 -
Love love love the new yoga. Have tried to add it in an extra day. Tony really hit the nail with this one.0

Some of the moves are faster, the vinyasa stuff. It was a good calorie burn for yoga. We finished at 60 minutes, we workout for an hour so we had to cut it short. I plan to do some exercising this weekend, I just can't rest for two days if I have no other plans. Next weekend may be different since we'll be in Vegas. Vegas baby!0

Rest? In Vegas - what are you thinking!!0 -
Just finished Yoga....First, I like that it is shorter than the last version...but...I think he goes through some of the moves entirely too fast. The transition betweens moves was really bad. I felt like I was rushing to catch up. I was trying to watch my breathing and make sure I was doing the move correctly and he was bag to downward dog...
Also, I was VERY sore during the first set of moves (Warrior One to Triangle, reverse triangle....) my arms were screaming and then my legs were on fire!!!
I did enjoy the later portion tho. I felt the time in the poses was good and I ended up feeling like I got a workout.
I am going to do this version again next week and if I feel the same, I am going to switch back to the original 90 min Yoga for the rest of the Phase....0 -
If you've done Tony's One on One Fountain of Youth Yoga then this routine is somewhat familiar to you ... No longer are you doing 45 minutes of Vinyasa's which KILLED me with the Yoga X and why I stopped doing it. I honestly liked the flow and it's not like we haven't done these moves before I think with a couple of exceptions we were doing almost every move we did in the last one, but shorter and faster. I would give this yoga dvd a chance if I were any of you as this is really a more fluent system. I really enjoyed it and even got home late from work ... Just finished it ... 7pm and I didn't mind.
X2 Yoga is a winner in my book. Balance and Power tomorrow then Sunday morning I am going to knock out Recovery and Mobility to make up for the day I missed this week. Then? Rinse and repeat week 10 -
I am going to try to do this tomorrow.. I was at the hospital all day yesterday with my sister who had a baby so I did not do it. I want to though!0

Okay, I know I’m late on this.. but I wanted to give my thoughts on Yoga X2 which I did yesterday. I liked it, wasn’t sure what I was going to think, hearing such different opinions. I felt like I did better with moves that I normally suck at, like the half moons and crane. I actually held crane for about 10 seconds!! I think that my legs are more tired in Yoga X by the time these moves are and in the second, they are closer to the beginning, know what I mean? I see how it does move quicker but I was okay with that, I still felt like I got something out of it. I am sore today, so something must have been effective, right? I did a quick 2 miles before doing it, too, so I was nice and warmed up from that.
On a side note, so that is the same Shauna that was in the first one, right? She looks different, longer hair and a bigger chest, it was the first thing I noticed! Lol She looks good though!0 -
I was totally sore on Saturday morning from doing X2 Yoga. I like this one much better then the first one with the OMG A GAZILLION VINYASA'S out of the box. I am going to keep the schedule for Friday Yoga cuz it works with the 1 hour version rather then the 90 minute version which I couldn't do during the week.0

Just finished X2 Yoga for the 2nd time. I like the pace. I really do. I know that you guys think it's too fast but when he talks about flow I get it I totally get it. When you are doing the Vinyasa's there is a fluidity to it and it's a real high. I am actually looking forward to Yoga but not so much to do an entire recovery week of it. I think I would burn out from it as it is included in every phase of this workout program. I don't know if I feel ambitious I may do it again Sunday, especially if it's raining.
I am a fan.0 -
OMG OMG OMG I ALMOST FORGOT I DID A CRANE FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER! yeah, I was just that excited until I toppled over BUT I DID THAT POSE!0

I did Crane this morning for two seconds, this is a first for me. My husband has been able to do it, but I've sucked all this time. :laugh:0

I don't think it's the same Shauna.0 -
Oh, and another note. The yoga guy behind Tony had a black P90X2 hand towel like Tony. I MUST HAVE THAT TOWEL!!!0

It's not ... the Shauna in X2 has only been doing Yoga for 2 years she says.
And I agree I want that towel too!0 -
Thanks, I didn’t think it was her! Funny how they have two Shauna’s, though, that are both super flexible!0

Yoga done. I am loving this one more and more every time I do it. I am finding that i am hungry though and it distracts me so I think that the EE that I am going to get WILL be used before yoga as well. It will give me the energy to get me through. I am a tad sore from last night so I am going to get out the heating pad or the hot / cold pack and heat it in the microwave and put it on my right side neck and shoulder area and relax on the couch after dinner , shower and the UPS guy who is delivering my new stand mixer tonight0

I giggle at yoga that he keeps referring to his cook as missy and she clearly wants to be called Melissa. I can sympathize with her on a personal level. .
I've been able to get crane in this one too and I love those plows.
This version of yoga is not to fast for me either. I love the speed.
I've been doing tony hortons Ho ala ke kino it's really really fast compared to this.0
