I have been walking for 40 to 60 minutes a day for 6 months. I have recently, maybe a month or so ago, started to try to jog,. I am just not very good at it. I can't get any speed up. I think I can walk faster than I jog. any tips would be greatful

I am slow too but I figure "I'm running!!! Woo hoo!" If I can get just through the program jogging at my pace I feel its an accomplishment
Keep at it!!

I do the jogging shuffle and find after a few times it turns into a jog/run. I've yet to hit full on running but i figure that will be the next step! Keep it up, believe in your abilities and don't talk yourself out of doing it. I've realised running is a wicked mind game!0

Don't worry about pace at first - that will come. However, this site is great to make sure you are using proper form: http://www.goodformrunning.com/0
