Speeds for week 1

Asked the question in another thread, but think this warrants a new topic
I had the question in terms of speed to maintain during the first week (am using a treadmill for starters)
i understand its not an exact science, and need to do what works for you
I did my day 1 today
5mins at 3.5 mph
60 seconds at 4.5 mph (bumped it up to 5.5 mph in the last cycle, as i was pumped and feeling good )
90 seconds at 4mph (brisk walk)
Please let me know if the above numbers sound right ?
Any advise is much appreciated
Thanks

I did 3.5 for walks and 4.5 for the runs. I was able to bump up to 4.7-4.8 on day 2 and for day 3 I maintained 4.5-4.7 for the runs. It worked well for me.0

I find the speed to be relevant to me I am 230's but 64 yrs old I can do a hour outside at 4mph jogging but can not do much more than 4 mph on treadmill I am not sure why possibly having to maintain balance on treadmill slows me down you are younger better muscles can surely go faster find what is good for you and then try to keep improving0

I think those numbers sound great. We should all differ a bit in our speeds, and we do.0
