Is anyone still here?
Hi there! I just joined and now noticed that there's been no activity since September. Is anyone still checking in here? Anyone still walking, running or both?
What to do about my lead feet..
Hello everyone! I only recently started running. Right now I am doing a 5k training program to build my stamina. At first I noticed my shin bones would hurt when I ran hard. Is this normal? They don't hurt so much anymore and I attributed this to basically getting used to what I was doing but now my inner lower calves are…
obese running buddies.
Are there any other obese women in this group who want to start (or maybe have already started) running? That's my plan. I've started walking for the conditioning and plan to start running in a few weeks.
My weakness and learning to run again
Hi there, I have always wanted to become a runner and at one time in my 20's I was successful. I am really struggling with getting back to where I was. I had polio as a child and thank goodness that I am not paralyzed nor confined to a wheelchair because that was a real possibility, especially being born in a third world…
How to Start - Conditioning Program

Buy a www.GymBoss.com http://www.jeffgalloway.com/training/condition.html From there you can follow…

My 1st 5K
Well, I have finally set the date. I will be running (or walking, mostly) my first 5k. It's the Color Run in Las Vegas on February 22nd. It is not a timed event, so it seems like it would be a good place to start. Wish me luck!
Running Pains
Every time I jog, which I can only do for very short periods right now, I get horrible pains in my ankles, like I've twisted it. It only lasts for a couple minutes before it goes away, but still very painful. Is this because of the weight? I have never been able to run for long periods, even when I was in really good…
help with shin pain
I started running a couple of weeks ago, but I have ran on and off for the last couple of years. About a week ago, my shins (more specifically the insides of my shins right above my ankles) started hurting. I immediately thought shin splints, and had a day of rest in between by runs, which helped a little. Today, I noticed…
seeking Motivated Middle Aged "Fitness Friends"
I live a 'good life' out here on the pacific west coast, often hiking in the mountains with my wife and our eight year old german shepherd. However, I am now officially middle aged and overweight - need to change things up and live a more structured and healthier lifestyle with improved dietary habits... so I can still be…
