Running Pains

Every time I jog, which I can only do for very short periods right now, I get horrible pains in my ankles, like I've twisted it. It only lasts for a couple minutes before it goes away, but still very painful. Is this because of the weight? I have never been able to run for long periods, even when I was in really good shape. Now, when I'm trying to get back in shape after baby #4, it just hurts! Anyone else have this problem? What should I do? Just push through the pain; walk until it stops hurting, then try again? I still have about 35 pounds to go before I'm back to my goal weight. I'm thinking it's just a few extra pounds too much adding extra force on my ankles when I try to run (jog).

It could be your running shoes. I found that I got pain in my calves and feet when running which went away when I changed my running shoes. Worth going to a running shop for advice if you have a good one near you. Good luck sorting this out.0
