It really irritates me when I read on the web, or on MFP, or hear people talk about how individuals on the Paleo diet are being contradictory or inconsistant by using mdern technology..... WTF? When I told my friends about it, they asked me in a very condensending way if I was going to start wearing animal fur and stop using electricity, etc. I read on the web all the time, snide comments about how people on the paleo diet will still use their GPS to find the best parking spot at the gym, etc.

We are not trying to reinact history here.... we are only trying to eat how our body was designed to eat. Why is that so difficult to understand. What does electricity have to do with eating better?

This is exactly why I don't use the words paleo, primal, caveman, etc anymore. I tried "low glycemic, natural food" for awhile, but that just made people's eyes glaze over... tried Archevore for bit... but again lots of eye glazing... now I just tell people that I have lost nearly 100lbs in 7 months by eating whole natural foods with hardly any exercise... that perks their attention before I go into the no grains, sugars, processed foods bit.

there is so much more about the SAD diet than the Paleo/Primal way of eating. People I think look for ways not to change their diet..but still expect to lose weight.

Still eating the grains and processed stuff. So the first reaction is to think that you should live in a cave and kill your own meat....Its just stupid people who refuse to educate themselves..

...ignorance is bliss. Tired, fat, and sick...but ah...so blissful.
