OK, my name is Holly and I have been married to Adam for almost 12 years. I have always been heavy due to PCOS. When I hit puberty, I just started gaining weight. So, my husband has only know me heavy. In fact, I'm about a size and a half smaller now then when we met and got married. Due to my PCOS, we couldn't have children (tried everything). We have been so lucky to be parents to three of the most amazing Korean-born children ever. My gorgeous babies are 8, 7, and turning 2 in March. Brett, MiRan, and Finn.
Here are pictures we had taken at the end of September of last year. I had lost about 30 pounds at this point. I stalled and gained in December but am back on track now.

Great idea!
I'm Sheila, married to James for a little over 14 years. We have 5 children, 13, 11, 7, 5, and 3. I've been working on the "weight loss thing" for about 2 years now. I steadily gained weight after the last 3 kids, and then after the very last one, I never lost the baby weight, infact just gained more because of the anti-depressants the OB had me taking. One day one of my kids fell off their bike at the neighbor's just 4 houses down from us... I tried to run down there to help my crying little guy up and I couldn't run half way down the block without being totally winded and had to walk the rest of the way. At that point I knew I had to do something.
This is me before I started working out and paying attention to what I eat:
and this is me last month, down about 40lbs overall:

Wow! Holly, you are gorgeous and you have such a beautiful family!
I'm Victoria. I have two boys ages 2 and 12. Our older son has a learning disability that is very similar to Aspergers. So, between the two of them, there's never a dull moment at our house.
Obesity has been an epidemic on my mom's side of the family. On average, I'm usually around 30lbs overweight. But I've spent time being over 200lbs in the past. No one ever taught me how to work for it, how and why to make healthy choices, or about the importance of exercise. I don't want to pass that ignorance down to my children... so here I am.
I really love this group and MFP in general. It's really helped push me in the right direction. I used to feel too big and insecure to even seek out help in the community. But now, I'm forcing myself to seek out help from a nutritionist and asking my healthy, thin friends for tips.0
