That uses those aerobic steps for Pendlay Rows and Deadlifts? I keep worrying I'm going to get a weird look for doing that, but the room where I do floor lifts in the gym doesn't have a ton of plates, and I want to be doing these from a dead stop, and with Pendlays I'm not up to 135, and with Deadlifts, my warm-up sets aren't all up to 135 either.

Nope! In fact, at the gym I go to there are a bunch of them stacked up by the power rack so I'm guessing there are other people out there too.

I do my rows in the squat rack, as long as no one else is wanting to squat.... or curl

I think you need to be very careful if you use a step. Anyone who uses them at my gym tends to tip forward and use their back. I stick to normal deadlift

he's talking about balancing the bar on them. not standing on them.

My gym has the big olymic weights that go all the way down to 10lbs, but I went with a friend over the weekend and we were about to use a step then realized the squat machine had a bar just about the right height for deads.

Ha! Thanks. My deads apparently suck though. I never bleed on the bar. ;) (But really, I posted a form check and I need to work on them).
