The way I have always been measured for show choir outfits is that your hips/butt are the same measurement...because the measuring tape goes around your booty to measure your hips.....but your waist and bellly are different even though I have them in the same spot because my waist is quite small compared to my belly...I had always been told your waist is about an inch above your belly button....but it all depends on who you ask I think LOL0 -
