Caloric intake before shows

I don't have any plans on entering a competition but I want to look like I could compete next month for my 30th birthday I have been fluctuating between 20-21% BF and I really want to get to 19% or below preferably in the next 5 weeks if not the by the next few months. For the ladies who have been in training for competitions, what does your caloric intake look like at like 6 weeks out? I haven't been in this good of shape ever so I don't really know my overall intake should be to get to an elevated level of fitness. I would appreciate any advice regarding nutrition. Thanks!!

your caloric intake is important, but what you are eating is more important. When I was dieting down for show, the only carbs I ate was white sweet potatoes and raw oats. No fruit, no diary, no sugar, or bread. Protein was tilapia, salmon, top round I ground myself, egg whites, sometimes whole eggs, whey protein, cucumbers, asparagus, and salad greens. Fats were avocados, but mostly from the red meat and salmon. I don't recommend following a diet like this without consulting a coach or nutrition, but this is what worked for me and I took home four awards! Good luck!0
