effexor ER after gastric bypass

Hi guys, Itake 150 mg effexor xr right now, I know I need to be tapered down to get off of it for the surgery, at least I think I do cause I wont be able to take capsules after (they are pretty large). So has anyone else had this problem if soooooo how did you do it and how did it go.

    You need to talk to your surgeon about this. Maybe the effexor comes in another form or the capsules can be opened and mixed with something. Capsules are either filled with granules, liquids, or gels so this seems doable! Ask the doc. Good luck.
