Ready to kill the bad habit on munching till late at night and doubling your calories by doing so? Then pick dinner or the last (planned) snack of the day as a cut-off and put no more calories in your mouth past that time. After you've committed to a cut-off time, update us here on your progress.

To keep the score, we've used so far the format: Me <your number> vs LNS <Late night snacks' number>
So for instance after 5 days of success and 2 failures, you would write: Me: 5 - LNS: 2

Let's help each other to stay on track...

This is the group for me. Always wanting something in the evening, usually due to boredom. When I try to avoid the junk food I keep eating everything else to avoid it and then end up eating it anyways. Uugh!!:frown:

I should have fought it a little better. I wasn't even really hungry. And, I felt like CRAP afterward. I wish I had saved this LNS for a night when: a) I was hungry for it; and b) there was good food around I might have enjoyed.

    Dumb.

Especially since I'm leaving for Hawaii in just 3 weeks and I really want to be at the top of my game!

Noticed most of the people in here are women...hope there's room for a male LNS... I tend to go in spurts...where I'll be able to nail it for a week or so and then I lose the battle for a couple days. Hoping this will help me stay motivated.

welcome!!! this dreaded late night snacking has no geographical or gender bias!! we all need help....what have you found that works for you... sometimes, if i have had a big gym workout that day i am less likely to snack cause i do not want to ruin my efforts

What works for me? Haven't really tried to fight it actually, I used to let it run it's course. With that said, I have decided that it's not alright to do that any more. So now, I'll have to keep track of the habits more closely. I do know, like you said, that when I do get in some physical activity, that I am more likely to not be hungry...just be content

I'm playing the spectator role this month. Unless I decide in the middle of the month to start trying....
