I am 11 weeks post op for the band and am down about 43 lbs and I'm doing around 1000 a day with 75g of protein. I work out with a trainer 2x a week. I am also 44 years old with 3 kids ages 6,4, and 2. Would love to have more inspiration!

awesome! will add. and wow your really killing it! i wanted to stay at around 1000 cals but my doctor kept hounding me to go up. so 1200 it is. its almost too easy to meet that goal. idk. i havent had a fill yet so maybe i can go back down afterwards. but the dietician wanted me at 1500-1800 cals! i though she was nuts. thats temping fate too much for me. nice to see someone doing what i'd imagined.

Hey ladies :flowerforyou: - i have the lapband as well i am 14 weeks out and my Dr told me to stay at about 1200 if i am going to work out with 60-70 g of protien a day, and 1000 if i am not going to be able to work out that day. I work out 3-5 days a week and i am down 82lbs. I have only had 1 fill and i have 1cc thats it. In order for your body not to hold on to everything you are eating you have to be at atleast 1000 calories or 1200 if you are going to work out. I have been so happy with my band and i have not had any problems at all. I think its great that we all can share how it effects us on a daily basis and help one another.
