yeah I did one - unfortunately it was only a week or two after I separated the AC joint in my shoulder so I was in pain, I was also not very fit and took forever to do it.

If you go with a bunch of people and like mud, it can be pretty fun. Oh, being good at running helps as well :D

if you are not already a runner then I recommend getting the c25k program. It will have you running 5km in 9 weeks.

With my knee's I will never be a runner, but I can do the Cliffy shuffle for 6km. I emailed my trainer last night and set him the challenge of getting me to the point where I don't die doing it :-O.
He did the Melbourne Ironman last weekend and my wife is doing the Paris marathon next weekend. As a rugby prop forward, I am a little smothered by these damn fir runners all around me :grumble: :grumble:
But bring on the challenge I say!

I haven't done a "tough bloke" but I did the Warrior Dash in February. Seems fairly similar, though the Warrior Dash is only 5.13km or something like that with 12 obstacles.

It was a HEAP of fun but. I might give this one a thought, I don't mind paying more than the early bird fee.

Do it! I missed the Warrior Dash as it was just too soon on my journey. But the Tough Bloke seems just about right. I can lose another 5-10Kg by then and be a leaner, meaner old slow person :-D
I will spring for the cans of HTFU.

    You know you want to.
