For me it's not really boring, but it isn't nearly as exciting as the beginning of this season was for me. I can't wait to see what's to come though.0

I hope it starts picking up soon. It started to get interesting when I thought Lori was going to be bit by the walker, but that ended up being very anti-climatic. But at the end of the episode, it almost seems like she's trying to talk Rick into killing the other cop (his name was just on the tip of my tongue and now I'm have a brain lapse). Can't wait to see how that begins to play out. And I hope this baby makes her gain weight all over, not just her belly, is it just me or is that girl WAY too skinny??? She looks like Olive-Oyl from Popeye.0

lol i'd love to see Rick put it to Shane like that!, but at the same time I dont really wanna see Shane killed off so im all torn about that I think it slowed a bit much in the middle of the season but the last couple of episodes have really stepped up and it looks like its only gonna get better, I hope they leave the farm soon tho and get back on the road at least by next season0 -

Shane! Thank you! It was driving me nuts lol. I agree, there is a part of me that doesn't want Shane to be killed off, he brings good drama to the group. By far though, my favorite character is Daryl. But I am partial b/c I have been a HUGE Norman Reedus fan since the first Boondock Saints movie came out. I feel that the group has to leave the farm soon, because there isn't much of a plot left there. Now that Shane killed off the walkers in the barn, there is no reason for Hershel to keep putting them in there. The suspense keeps happening every time someone has to make a run into town, so to keep up the good story lines, they must get back on the road. I've also been wondering something else. In the first season, Rick kept trying to make contact with the father and son he met at the very beginning of the series. They brought it up several times last season, but have hardly mentioned them recently. Are they just letting that storyline die out? Or do you think they will run into them along their path somewhere? And what about what the doctor whispered to Rick before they left the building last season? I've heard rumors that it will be revealed soon, but it's been irking me that I still don't know what it is he said!!!0 -
^^^ clearly, I'm not good at quoting these things lol.0

Re: the dad (Morgan) and son (Dwayne) I do believe we will see them again at some point. The do show up much later on again in the comic book series. Considering the pretty serious difference between the comic and the tv show (which I really do enjoy quite a bit), I'm looking forward to whatever they decide to do with those characters.
There was another thread where we were talking about about what the doctor might have whispered in Season 1.0 -
I'm tempted to buy the graphic novels just to see what happens, versus waiting every single week just to be rather disappointed..
At the same time though, I like the suspense of having no clue what is happening next xD0 -
I know theyve said that they'll reveal what the doctor told Rick sometime soon but I hope its better than just Lori's pregnant cause if thats all this build up on it is for then itll be a big bummer, and ya I think we'll see the father and son again soon otherwise I dont see what the point of having them in the first place would be ya know.0

If the big secret is that he knew Lori was pregnant before even she knew she was pregnant, I'll be pissed. But Rick looked truly surprised when she told him. I also think that it's definitely Rick's baby b/c it had been a while since she and Shane hooked up, if she was pregnant with his kid, she should have been showing even just a little bit by now. Or maybe it just feels like it's been a while b/c it's been drug out so long. I just don't know. Either way, it will be a major let down if that happens to be the big secret. I also agree that we should see Morgan and his son again, it would be pointless to talk about them so much at first to have it not lead to anything. Now, whether they run into them after they've been bitten is another idea entirely. That might make for a bit of excitement.0

I agree, would be very anti-climatic if it was that Lori was pregnant. Honestly, I am not getting my expectations too high about this one so I am not disappointed, but one theory that I like is that the doctor told him that that everyone is already infected with zombieness. It won't matter how you die, zombie bite or not, you will come back. I was trying to think if we've seen anyone come back that wasn't bitten, and I don't think we have.0 -
I'm getting a little bored with the show now too. I mean, it's still good, but not as excited as it was at first. I've been waiting to find out what that doctor said foreeeeeeverrrrrr.
Oh, and the girl who plays Lori is so skinny. Everytime she's on screen I think how thin and fragile she looks (which wouldn't be as bad if she weren't playing a pregnant woman).0 -

Oooh, cool. Maybe the secret was that Shane's infected and that's why he's being an idiot.Or maybe the doctor told Rick how the whole zombie-thing started, because I'd really like more information on that too

Even if you did start reading the graphic novels you would have no idea what is going to happen in the show. The plot lines are completely different. I've read up to Issue #93 of the trade paperbacks and I think they'll be following the story loosely at best. Without spoiling the plot for people that want to or haven't read the comic book, I can say that there are major characters in the show that don't survive in the comic book. Also Daryl and Merle are never introduced in the comic book.0 -
I found this interesting little read - I knew the show was slower due to budget cuts, but I pulled this from an article.
http://io9.com/5830082/amcs-crazy-ideas-for-cutting-costs-on-the-walking-dead
AMC's decision to cut the budget dated to the previous fall, when the network instructed Darabont to produce 13 episodes for a second season, up from six for the first season, for less money. Not only would the show get a lower budget, but AMC also decided that Walking Dead would no longer reap the benefit of a 30 percent tax credit per episode that came with filming in Georgia. Now the network was going to hold on to that money.
At the time, a source says, the show's producers decided not to get into a confrontation. "To have a fight over a number when they didn't know what the show was going to do didn't make sense," says this source. But when Walking Dead began to break AMC records, those involved figured that a negotiation would take place and the cuts might be reduced.
But this source says that AMC had its own ideas about how to make the show more cheaply. The show shoots for eight days per episode, and the network suggested that half should be indoors. "Four days inside and four days out? That's not Walking Dead," says this insider. "This is not a show that takes place around the dinner table." That was just one of what this person describes as "silly notes" from AMC. Couldn't the audience hear the zombies sometimes and not see them, to save on makeup? The source says Darabont fought "a constant battle to keep the show big in scope and style.0 -

I'm an amateur fan, in that I don't catch all the little things that a lot of you catch, but I've been wondering if what the doctor whispered to Rick will tie into the fact that the fence-licking security dudes in "18 Miles Out" didn't appear to have any bites.
But that's as far as I've gotten.
And for the record, I think it would bad-a** and interesting as he** if Merle is leading the 30 Guy Gang.
And another one for the record...if one little piece of hair on Daryl's red neck is harmed because Carl dropped that gun, I'ma wanna bi*ch slap that kid.
That is all.0 -

What I like about TWD is that when they're on the road, they're covered in dirt, greasy & skinny, it makes the show alot more realistic. I heard she dropped weight for the role & it's very fitting.0
