Congrats on becoming a new mom. and were all here to help and give support. hopefully more will join0

It took my over 8 years to achieve my goal of becoming a Mum (sorry, UK here!) and when I was down or saw young girls with babies I ate to feel better... not I have a 20 month old son and need to be around for him! I had heart failure and a stroke 4 year ago following a pretty severe illness and still managed to somehow get pregnant and have a baby - so that sould be all the incentive I need - but I'm also a chocoholic!0

I'm a mom of two young girls (2 under 3 years old) and I am determined to lose and tone. I don't like feeling jiggly and there is nothing more eye opening than your 2 year old asking if there is another baby in your belly. Trying to workout 5 days a week.0

I have two boys ages 1 and 2. I've pretty much lost my baby weight and now need to tone.0

@heather .. congrats on the baby. i was in a struggle in my life when i was 19. before then i had an accident where i was aubmerged under water for over two minutes almost drowning.. i inhaled over a gallon of lake water that was full of bacteria. it tore my immune system apart. The dr. told me i would never have children and if i did by chance it wohld be hard. i ended up become pregnant and it was completwly a suprise baby. she is now going to be 4 on april fools day. crazy day huh!!. i know the feelong and i am so happy for you. i LOVE. chocolate but ice came to the conclusion that it LOVES my hips lol.
and beach mama. at one time my sister was pregnant and her other son asked if ahe gave me the baby in my tummy.. embarrasing. i know o can do this. i am ao excited for this journey.0 -

They keep me busy, but they are amazing and I can't wait to have more kids. Maybe one day I'll have a girl0 -
Hi everyone, my name is jeannie, I'm a stay at home mom of 4 (girl 8, girl 5, girl 21 months, and boy 6 months). I'm done having babies and ive decided that its time to really start taking care of myself. I wanna be able to keep up and play with my kids instead of just watching them from the sidelines. My husband is dedicated to ..getting healthy and in shape too, so we encourage one another. I'm really liking MFP it helps a lot and I'm glad I get to hear everyone else's encouragement and success story's.0

I want four kids! It's great that you want to be healthy and in shape, kids needs their mommas and you'll love being able to keep up. My husband and I encourage each other too, we both want to be in better shape. It's easier eating healthy and exercising when you have someone helping you and keeping you focused.0 -
Hi Everyone,
I just joined this group. I have been on MFP for just over a month and I like the accountability of tracking my food. I feel a bit stuck after losing 8lbs and would like to lose about 8 more. I sometimes find it difficult to "fit in" because I am not looking at losing huge amounts of weight, but I do feel I can relate to moms since I am one! I have a six and half year old and a four year old. I am a working mom and my biggest struggle would have to be snacking with the kids! Hoping to be inspired and just be able to receive and give positive reinforcement! Thanks for the group!:happy:0 -

Good Morning! Just joined this group this morning, been of MFP since September, but just got devoted this week. I have three kids, two boys ( 5 & 3 ) and a 7 month old little girl. My husband and I started Insanity on Sunday and so far so good! Can't wait to get to know you ladies!0

hey everyone!! i am so glad yall all made it. and it doesnt matter if you want to lose 5lbs, 20lbd, 100lbs, or just get toned. we are all striving to be healthy. and for us being moms we all have something in common!0

So glad you made this a group instead of just a thread
Anyways, like I posted on the thread.. I'm 33 (34 in April), married and have 3 kids - 11 yr old daughter, 9 yr old daughter and 2 1/2 yr old son. I can't wait to take this journey with all you moms out there.
Good luck to everyone!0 -
Glad I found this group! Just joined the website today, hoping it will help me stay on track better by having to write it all down. My daughter just turned 2 and still has trouble sleeping all night, so I'm usually exhausted daily and have VERY long days at work with a long commute so I use that as an excuse not to exercise! I like the "no excuses" approach and can use the kick in the pants from other moms!0
-
JennR2006 - Love your post! I use the tired excuse all the time too! After working and commuting and because my husband works afternoons I have the kids 24/7...I often get lazy. I have found that a 5:20 morning bike (indoor cycle) in my basement has been working well, but I REALLY want to do some other stuff after the kids go to bed. I just tend to get distracted....
Any suggestions from others on how to get motivated at 8-8:30pm?? I don't know most of the DVDs people talk about. We did just get a PS3 for Christmas. I like the idea of using something that will be done in 30minutes so I can get to lunches, laundry, dishes (you all know what I am talking about!) :bigsmile:0 -
Ohh girl i know what your talkin about. seems my sink piles up every night lol. i love the wii fit and the biggest loser. you may not burn a whole lot of calories but it feels great afterwards. legs all trimbwling lol. try to think of it as you time. i have restless leg syndrome. and i know if i exercise around 9ish it gets the blood circulating and its easier to sleep0

Glad I found this group! I joined MFP a long time back. But just recently got serious about it. I have added several friends and joined a few groups to make me accountable. I am a 37 year old wife and mother of two (13 yr old girl and 10 yr old boy). I work full-time and I am trying to figure out a workout schedule that works around work and everyone else's activities. Finding that to be difficult! But I am definitely tracking my foods and walking more at work. Avoiding sitting at my desk as much as possible. But so far I am seeing progress in how my clothes fit. Which is encouraging.
Well, I hope everyone is having a great day and has a wonderful weekend!!0 -
Hi, I'm Kathy and I'm the wife of Pete and the mom to Emily,9, and Mallory,6. I am currently disabled due to a severe mental illness. I've always been big, but not this big. I've gained over 100 lbs because of psych medication, but just got off the worst culprit last Friday. I'd like to lose those 100 lbs, then maybe about 50 more. We'll see how it goes. Looking forward to getting to know you!0

I'm a 32yr old mom of 2 girls (1 and 2). I work full time. My goal is to lose 16 more lbs. I enjoy excercise, but with two little girls its more of a challenge to fit in. I usually work out during my lunch hour. That works well so far. I have really re-committed this week.
Good luck to all!0 -
My name is Tracy and I just joined today! I found my way to this group and am very excited to begin this weight loss journey! I have one son who is 8 years old. I have gradually put on about 30 lbs over the last couple of years and its time to get this off!! I have tried other "diets" and realized that it has to be a life style change and not a diet! I look forward to being a part of this moms group because honestly I need all the help I can get! I can't seem to get motivated to exercise..but I am going to do my best to make healthier lifestyle changes!0

Hi there!
I'm a new mum. I have a 6week old baby boy, and still battling the lack of sleep!
Anyway, i put on far too much weight when i was pregnant and was over weight when to start with, so want to lose 70lb! At the moment it seems impossible, but hoping it will seem achievable soon!0 -
