I've tried this program before, and my one issue was knee soreness (on the outside side of the right knee). Is this just something I need to work through? Are there certain stretches that would help?

It's probably your IT band. This is a common runner injury. There are some stretches you can do, as well as using a foam roller to massage it out. You can good it for a few good stretches. My husband has problems with his and every now and again I can feel mine getting tight.0

I use to run religiously about a year ago and hurt my knee so I have the same issue. Can anyone recommend any good stretches to help with this knee problem? It hurts even when I walk sometimes.
Its worth investing in some proper running shoes tho. I went to a running store that makes you jog a little on treadmill and they analyse your style and recommend best shoes for you. I compared it to the cheapo trainers I previously wore and the difference was huge!0
