My hat completely goes off to you guys that are able to exercise and manage your little ones!

The only useful workout I do would have to be in the morning. I use my lo as a weight and to 3 or 4 reps of 10 lifting her in the air and squats! HAHA! besides her laughing from all the fun she's having I don't do anything else :blushing:

How do you squeeze workout time in your schedules? What exercises do you do?

I am doing the 30 Day Shred. Depending on the day, I will either go home right after work and do my 20 minute circut or I will do it as soon as my son goes to bed and I am done cleaning up for the night.

Sounds corny, but I started (as of today) jogging in place while I do my normal everyday routine. You could just do what you always do, or you can do it and burn some extra calories.

This morning I spent 30 minutes showering, doing my hair, getting dressed, and doing the dishes, as I usually do, only I jogged in place the whole time. :] I even felt sore and a little out of breath, but as a mom multi tasking is a key- I did this all while my little one took his nap!

I multi-task my exercises sometimes, too. I nearly always do something aerobic while washing dishes, folding clothes, etc. I seriously attempt to get to the gym a couple times a week, my daughter and I spend time in the pool after she plays with her friends for 45 min or so at their day/drop-in care.

When my son was a toddler it was tough! As a baby I could just put him on a tummy time mat and squeeze in a quick workout between feedings. But once he became mobile it was so HARD to work out, unless I strapped him to my back and went for a walk. I eventually got him his own mat and ball so he could join me in a lot of my exercises, but even then he'd only last about a 20-30 minutes. When he was old enough, I would take him to the park after work and walk around the park while he played.

At one point, I seriously paid a neighbor teenage girl to come watch my son 5am Saturday mornings so I could go out for a long run while training for my first marathon.

Now I have a treadmill, weights, everything I need at home. I squeeze in workouts whatever time of day I can. He's 6 now, and he understands that mommy's exercise comes before his video games and movies, usually while he eats dinner or takes a bath. He also has duplicate equipment (small mat, very light weights, his own resistance band, etc) so he still works out with me. My favorite videos of my son are him at 3 doing pilates on the ball with me.
