I'm venting. I've been sooo frustrated for the last year. I work out 6-7 days a week and try hard to keep my calories low (I'm guilty of binging during my tom). I'm trying now to watch my carbs and my sodium.
So feeling incredibly yukky and the weight staying the same for now into my 6 month I made an appointment with an endocrinologist.
We did a whole series of blood tests and now I'm waiting and waiting and waiting. It freaks me out what my mind is telling me.
One minute I want something more serious than hypothyroidism because it will prove that it was beyond my control how I'm feeling. One minute I don't want anything more than hypothyroidism because it'll cost more money and be something I'll have to deal with on top of everything else. My general practitioner just mentioned Cushing's disease and I'm all over it on the internet.
Uggghh. I just needed to vent.

I have Hashimoto's thyroiditis... If it ends up being low thyroid it's much harder to lose weight than just taking a pill every day...The doctors will tell you take a pill & you will be fine.. the problem is everyone is different.. I've been fighting this battle for 6 years & still not feeling like I did before. However the first step is to replace thyroid harmone so hopefully you will know more soon. Good luck!0

Thyroid disease of any kind is not easy. It effects your weight, mood, everything. It will take a while to get things somewhat fixed. Be patient. You are doing the right things and going to an endocrinologist.0

You're doing the right thing! Don't let your mind play too many tricks on you, it won't change the outcome no matter what! I hope you get the answer you are looking for!
I'm just hypothyroid. No reason for the loss of function, just started declining... It has been a long, uphill struggle for me. And my weight isn't helping much. Nor is the depression. And they all compound each other. The key is to be patient, and try what the doctor says. But also, you need to be your own advocate in your health care, if it isn't helping, let the doctor know!0
