I am going to get a home gym at the end of the month, but until then I have 2-10lb dumbbells. What are some good exercises I can do with those? I just did (bear with me, I dont know if I have the names correct) bench press(2 sets of 20), chest flies(2 sets of 15), and chair dips (2 sets of 10) what are some other ones I can do especially for the lower body. Thanks!

TONS- I would go to http://www.fitlink.com/exercises?type=free+weight and take a look around.

Lower body- lunges and squats are always favorites. Take the time to learn your major muscle groups if you haven't already- quads vs hammies, triceps and biceps- just get the lay of the land if you don't already know it.

So exciting you're getting a workout system soon- they're wonderful!

Thanks so much!! Aldo I have another question, but about cardio. I was doing cardio 4-5 days a week for a hour on top of JM 30 day shred..now i am still doing the shred but that is my only exercise on those days bc i dont want to eat back 600+ cals from the elliptical, but it seems so unnatural (is that the word??) exercising less, but eating more LOL. Am I correct in not doing the elliptical? This is day 3 for eating more calories, and i just feel huge thats why i am asking.

If you love doing aerobics and it makes you happy- then do it and plan to shove your tummy full :) If you are doing it out of a sense of obligation or 'penance' to your weight loss- then skip the extra eliptical sessions.

You are losing weight through diet on MFP- not through exercise. Exercise is to change your shape (higher rear, firmer arms etc) and diet is to trim (or bulk) your body. Cardio makes a smaller shape and lifting heavy changes your shape and makes it smaller. Cardio is good for you- really it is- but it is NOT the be-all-end-all of working out. :) There's so much to enjoy!

Oh man just an absolutely awesme respone!

I tell you I loved zumba with a passion UNTIL I realized that I wasn't netting BMR and was too full to even try to. I have brought the intensity so far down when I do it maybe once a week that it isn't even enjoyable like it used to be. I just don't love it enough to shove an extra 700 cals down my throat. Man even on cheat days would I come close to eating up those high cal burns...

Is anyone thinking of bulking! My bulk figure is 2600...WHATTTTTT? I mean d youj get used to eatng sooooo much more? Stacie ate 3-4k during her bulk...just wow!

EXCELLENT answer. That is the point I'm always trying to stress, do it because you love it, & are willing to eat the cals that it requires. If not, don't sweat it (literally)...

That was yet another liberating moment for me when I discovered that...

    Beautiful answers. Love it.

I just wanted to add to the original question that if you are looking for exercise this is a great place:
    http://www.bodybuilding.com/exercises/

You can look up by body part, the exercises are rated for effectiveness and the full detail pages tell you what you need and how to perform them. If you run into an exercise for which you don't have the equipment, they list alternatives with one of those usually being free weights.
