Does anyone have any accurate information on how to do either of these?

Intermittent fasting is basically do not eat anything, but stay hydrated for 18 hours. Then you may eat again.

Fat Fast is the same thing except you can eat things that are ~100% fat such as coconut oil.

Please correct me on these things, I wanna try them :)

IF can be a varying amt of fasting, from hours to days. If you're following leangains, for women it's generally a 14 hr fast with a 10 hr feeding window daily. With eat-stop-eat, it's typically a 24 hr fast (from 6 pm to 6 pm usually) from one to more days/week.

My understanding of a fat fast is essentially as you've stated it; for some reason, I have 90% fat in my head as the macro that you're shooting for, but I may be mixing macros in my brain.
  • Here's the info I've used in the past:

I usually do it with a tub of mascarpone cheese or full fat cream cheese.
  • This book/PDF helped me a lot with IF. If you're interested it's a must read and will help a lot if you decide to go that route.

It's called "eat, stop, eat" and I originally found this thanks to someone on reddit. I found that I was basically doing a lot of this anyway without the book or reading anything about it online so when I actually found out there was a "right" way to do this, things got easier.
  • So I just read that through, and it's really interesting. I'm excited to try it out. My appetite has been so reduced with keto, I think it'll be a really nice experiment to see how I cope. Thanks for the link.
  • As a mini update, I did my first of two fasts this week on Sunday. It was actually really REALLY easy. Surprisingly so. And I felt so amazing that day, so clear headed. I give ESE two thumbs up, so far.

I'm going to try this too-- not sure if I want to focus on IF or fat fasting. I think I'm going to try three days of fat fasting first, and then IF in a week or two to see what happens.

Did you notice any difference in your weight loss from IF?
