Hello Fitness Pal!

I hope you had a wonderful week. Again, I have enjoyed reading your posts about exercise and nutrition. Please copy the link to the spreadsheet and weigh in before Monday. Next week, we will also update our measurements on the spreadsheet.

I believe this was my best week yet. With one more day left, I managed not to go over my calorie goal.
I feel very strong doing Les Mills Pump. And, Step is awesome!

My goal for next week is to adhere to the Michi's Ladder guideline for eating. I plan to eat from Tiers 1 & 2 for five days, with 2 cheat days; all while staying within my calories, of course. I just learned of this guide today, but it is also on the Beachbody site. Has anyone else heard of this before? It seems pretty sensible.

    uniquemoves ,

I believe you will be more successful next week. It sounds like you have a handle on what the roadblocks were. Be careful when you are doing the squats and lunges, to not let your knees go past your toes. This is a common mistake for newbies to pump. You can cause injury that way. Be strong, and have a great week as well!

Week 3 for me! This has been a hard week. First, work has been so stressful and is taking up a lot of my time and energy. That's why it has taken so long for me to get here. I have had time to get my workouts in and I am doing pretty good at keeping within my calorie goal. However, I am getting discouraged because I have gained weight. My weight does tend to fluctuate by about 3 pounds, so I try not to let it get to me, but it has been in the top range #s consistently for about 4-5 days. I know, maybe I shouldn't weigh myself every day.... I can't help it. So, this is the point where I would usually get dissappointed & give up. Also, measurements are not going anywhere.

    My goal this week:
Do not let stresses (like work) get me down and lose track of my goals.
Keep up the good work I have been doing. I WILL stick to my schedule and my calorie goal. I can and will make time for exercise.
PUMP more. Last week, a couple of days I switched Pump for Turbo Fire. I'm going to stick to every other day.

    lk27,
You have set fabulous goals for this week. You CAN do it! A few things you may want to keep an eye on if you are not moving are: 1. water intake; are you drinking at least 8 glasses 2. sodium intake; are the majority of your foods coming from a bag or package? and 3. sugar intake: are your sugar grams going over in MFP

I was reminded of some of these by one of our great PALs after a disappointing week. So, I hope this helps you also.

As far as pump goes, 3 times a week should be plenty, so you can concentrate on cardio.

    Have a great week!

Thanks amccord2. I do keep an eye on those factors. I try to drink at least 12 glasses of water per day. Good reminder though. As you saw, I am upping my calorie intake a bit. I think that my body needs more fuel for the intense workouts I do. I hope this helps. Thanks for the support!
