Am a emotional eater the problems is its not just one emotion that sends me running to food its most emotions i just need to know i am not alone in this struggle.

    definitely u're not alone in that. although I have more problems with eating when I have free time and when I can't strugle my appetite and when I can't manage to stop wishing for chocolate or something sweet, specialy if i have time to go buy it or it's on the way...
    how do u manage to strugle it? when did u start dealing and realising it?
  • i know exactly how you feel... i've been dealing with it most of my life! when i'm happy - i eat something sweet to celebrate.. when i'm upset, i eat something to make myself feel better.. but after eating, i get upset for eating.. and the cycle continues!

    i just joined this site recently and am hoping to make a difference one day at a time. let's do this together!

    I am there too. I think I used to be an emotional smoker, then when I quit that because I had kids food moved right into its place. Stress and anger are my big triggers. I often feel like if I eat something I will feel better or I can cope after I eat. I have been doing "okay" for the past couple of weeks. I have just been trying to keep busy and fighting through it.
