I'm on my very first day of medifast and about to go to the grocery store. What do you buy to suppliment your foods? I am getting some fresh veggies and meats for my LG but what about sugar free syrups? Fat free cheese? I know I want some sugar free jello for those evenings when I need a little extra.

Any tips?

    Welcome!

SF syrups are great as well as extracts for shakes....also spices! I have pumpkin pie spice & apple pie spice that goes great with the vanilla shake!
Personally I stay away from FF cheese...if you need a cheese flavor have a little parmesan...also you can have nuts(almonds, walnuts & pistachios) in small quantities. The good fat helps me on days when I need a little more energy.
Definitely go to the website....there are tons of recipes & ideas...search on the boards "recipe collection". Someone put together a ton of recipes & you can just download it,

Good luck & feel free to friend me for support!

Protein - Chicken breast, thighs, Lean ground turkey, fish or seafood.
Vegetable - I always by cauliflower, mix greens, broccoli & spinach. I buy alot of veggies raw and frozen.
Fat & others - liquid egg whites, olive oil, spray oil, salad dressing, low fat cheese, salsa

Good luck. Make sure you buy what you enjoy eating.

I try to stay away from red meat. It tears up my stomach big time. IF I eat it, it is the leanest of red meat.

I keep egg whites (filling meal), 99% Fat free ground turkey, chicken tenderloins etc on hand.

I do a lot of frozen veggies during the winter.

    Also salad.
