Your Progression

After you do each new workout, write yourself some notes about how you felt about it. Was it easy? Was it really hard? Did you think it you weren't going to make it through? Did you modify? How did you feel the next day? Did your weight increase due to water retention in the muscles?

I started 7/8 this week and it is extremely challenging for me. There's no down time at all and the transition time between exercises is just GONE! Everything hurts and I wondered if I should go back to another week of 5/6.

Then I decided to look back at some of my earlier posts when I started a new WO. I felt the SAME WAY every time! I didn't think I'd make it through, I was really sore, I had trouble with some of the exercises...Oh yeah. It's like having a baby - you swear you'll never put yourself through that torture again, then you get childbirth amnesia and do it again!

So remember, this is MEANT to be challenging! You're MEANT to push yourself! Like Jillian says: "Did you come to PLAY?" Game on.

That's wonderful that you're feeling stronger as time goes by! I feel the same way each time I start something new...it's challenging at first but I know if I stick with it, my determination will pay off!

I completed 7/8 yesterday. And, I can see that I was dying the first week. I wasn't sure I could get through it. It's too hard...I should go back to 5/6...I should stay on this level another week...

And once again, now that I've had my two weeks, I'm ready for the next challenge! No, I cannot complete each and every exercise every time. No, I can't get coordinated enough to wrap my cables around my feet fast enough to keep up. YES, I can hold the Warrior pose with my 3's! YES, I can "walk" in plank position! YES, I can do crow pushups!

So, I'll start 9 today and complain about how hard it is, but in two weeks, I'll be ready for the next one.

I am about to start 3 & 4 and I am NERVOUS! I am SO ready for a change though because the other videos were starting to get old. As it is now, for cardio, I have been alternating between P90x cardio and Jillians Boos Your Metabolism video's because Cardio 1...well, I am over it. Anyone seeing major results at the 7 & 8 weeks??
