Hey all! I was wondering if any of you have the following problem: whenever I try to do any form of exercise that involves more effort than simply walking, my heart rate skyrockets. Then, even if I'm not having breathing problems, I start to black out a little and my heart rate drops. I've been to a cariologist, and he says that my heart/veins are fine. Does anyone else have this problem? If so, how do you do workouts around it? And just for clarification, I'm not out of shape. I play softball and volleyball regularly. Thanks!

HI, my blood pressure is always low end of normal, but my heart rate sky rockets at the gym. I just stopped going to the gym and walk, do boxing on the wii and swim. Just find what exercise works for you and build up slowly. I can do bike at the gym but cross trainer even for a few minutes has my heart rate through the roof!

Hi....my heart rate is very high as well just by walking. This has been explained to me by my doctor because of the numerous amounts of bronchiodialators (sp?) I take, which all increase my heart rate. Thanks to daily prednisone usage for the past 5 years, I also have hypertension and take 4 daily meds to control it. I just had a stress test on my heart because of increased shortness of breath (it was one of the quickest exercise studies they did as my heart rate increased so easily!), and everything came back fine! Good Luck!
