When training I find that I have a hard time knowing what to eat after an LSD so that I won't be starving the next day. Does anybody have any advice?

The most important first step is to have some recovery food within 30 minutes of finishing. From this article (http://www.bostonhealthcoach.com/training/recovery.html):
Ideally, you should eat within 15 minutes after completing your workout. It's in this short window that the enzymes responsible for making glycogen are most active and will most quickly replace the depleted glycogen stores. Your goal - after long runs - should be to consume .5 grams of carbs per pound of body weight... every hour... for 4-5 hours.
The normally-batted-around thought is at least 4:1 carbs:protein for recovery. If you can drink milk, a lot of people swear by milk or chocolate milk as a recovery food.
I am normally most hungry a full day after a very long run or event. I think it just takes your body that long to figure out that your glycogen stores are a bit low. I usually just eat what I normally eat but maybe a little more of it. No other adjustments. Keep it healthy. Resist the urge to go out and "splurge" after every run. Your body will thank you!0 -
Thanks. I've had a hard time trying to figure out what to eat after my LSD so that I'm not starving the next 2 days. I will definately read the page and take your advice. I have had a hard time finding info on this on the internet.0

I love chocolate milk, yogurt, and a banana within 30-60 mins after a long run.0

for me I either have a pj sandwich or a protien shake. Depends on how long I run. If it's a short run (5km), then just the drink. If it's longer (10k) the pj sandwich.0
