Today is my weigh in day, down 1.5 this week! Doubly awesome b/c I am only set to be losing 0.5/week.

Today is my run at lunch, then lifting tonight.

I made these for dinner last night, something different and pretty yummy! http://www.dashingdish.com/2012/01/pizza-stuffed-chicken-breasts/

Happy Friday the 13th! Hoping it will bring all more good fortune than bad . . .

I need to remove all scales from my home because I can't stay off of them - this is how I discovered I've GAINED??!! Why? What am I doing wrong?

My husband has graciously agreed to me going to the gym 5 days a week now instead of just 3 . . . I have to do something. I'm at a loss at this point. I have no idea how I can go from losing 3.5 lbs in 3 days, to a dead stand still for 3 weeks, and now a gain of 2.5 in 2 days. I swear I've been good!!

My husband keeps telling me, "you're gaining muscle, you're losing inches, I can see a difference . . ." but I just can't get past the weight issue. Someone who is 5'3" SHOULD NOT weight 160 lbs, even if they are solid muscle . . . especially if they are exercising and eating properly. Maybe it's time to consult my doctor? I dunno . . . grrrrr.

And now we have a wedding to go to in about 10 weeks. It would be nice to weigh less for this one than I did for ours last July. :frown:

Susie- definitely take measurements! Hopefully that shows some changes. How many calories are you eating/netting?

Currently trying to stay around 1200-1300. It seems like if I go much over that end up gaining, regardless of exercise.

Hello everybody, I trust your Friday the 13th were uneventful. No homicidal maniacs in hocky masks i hope! A pretty dull day at work for me although when i look back at it i do seemed to do a lot of lifting of heavy things today. All around the 20 to 25 kg range. That can only be a good thing. Hitting the gym tonight for a slightly reduced cardio work out and some weights.
I have to be very zen when it comes to the scales. Monday mornings before breakfast once a week. My weight changes constantly. Every litre of water weighs a kg and we're supposed to drink 2 litres a day. I became a bit addicted to the scales a while back when i started my weight loss challenge thing. Every loss makes you feel great and then every gain can be crushing. This weight loss business is tricky but i think we have what it takes to get to where we want to be. I'll settle for some nice pictures on my wedding day :-).

Found this article and wanted to share with everyone. Even if you're not a runner, there is a lot of great info here. :)

    Happy Friday the 13th. :)

Nothing eventful for today. Work, gym, and home. I remember back when I was in my 20's Friday would mean work, gym, PART-EH! haha...how times change. Now fridays I usually in bed by 11pm.

This week has been a little brutal for me, lots of meetings, and things going on that have distracted me from my healthy eating and gym time. Back at it though, today is a new day.

Susieq - You should consult your doctor. They can be very helpful in meeting your goals. Tell your doctor about your goals and what you've been doing as far as nutriution and exercise. If you're working out fairly regularly then perhaps 1200-1300 cals/day isn't enough? Like shorty said, take your measurements and track those, it's much more reliable than the scale.

    PJYoung, when's the big day?

The 29th of September is what we're calling WD Day when my fiance and i become man and wife. I'm pretty scared about it all. Not the getting married part. Or the speeches. Or even keeping my mother from inviting an extra 50 people i don't know and have no desire to pay for. Nope what worries me is the prospect of having so many cameras pointed at me. Stupid i know but i have issues with what i see in the mirror. So the time came to do something about it. And here i am :-).
