What shoes do you lift in? I just heard I should not be wearing running shoes. What should I wear?

I wear vibrams (which I also use for running). I like 'em. My brother prefers to lift in chucks, vans, and worn out basketball shoes. Anything with a flat sole interferes less with form.

I lift with chucks-way better than running shoes for me.

I use Innov8 for lifting. Or you can use what most CrossFitters use because they do bunch of crazy stuff..... ESP lifting.

I do everything barefoot...it's not for everyone, but it does strengthen your feet.

I wear Converse One Star shoes (a.k.a. Chuck Taylors). They are totally flat-soled shoes, the closest thing to going barefoot. Some of the guys in my gym take their shoes off and lift in their socks.

I bought them on sale for around $32 at JC Penney. Zappos.com sells a huge variety (colors, sizes) too.

I have Risto lifting shoes for oly, bench and squat, I deadlift barefoot and I have Innov-8s for crossfit :) This is mirrored in my real life with a pretty significant sneaker and stilletto collection :)
