Call me crazy but I'm already starting to look into which program to do after BR is over. I love this program but ready to try something new when my 90 days is over. I'm almost halfway through, on week 6 now!

I've been considering NROLFW but then discovered ChaLean Extreme and it's gotten rave reviews!!!

Has anyone else heard anything about this program or considering it after JMBR is over??

IF I ever buy another DVD "program" it will be Chalean Extreme. BUT right now my plan is to join the gym after I finish BR. I'm not sure it will work out with my schedule/kids/etc. I'll be trying to go before work at 5... we will see! If the gym doesn't work, I'll probably continue doing Jillian workouts for a few months, just making up my own program. And save up for Chalean Extreme. I was also looking into TRX to do at home....

Oh and my plan for the gym is NROL4W, elliptical, and swimming. I really hope it works out.

I love Chalene: ). I have heard wonderful things about the program. Turbo Fire comes with one of the workouts and I like what I see. I plan to do it this fall.

ha! i swear, we have the same brain. i'm thinking about doing chalean too. i already joined a support group on here. i'm just worried about expanding my dumbbell collection - she uses 20 lbs in each hand on some of the moves and the dumbbells she uses that you can change yourself are like $250!!!

I have Chalean Extreme. I LOVE it! I have never followed it using the schedule, so I can't discuss acual results, but it's a great program that mixes weight training and kickboxing/Turbo Jam. It is fabulous for toning! It is easier with the adjustable weights, unless you already have a set. The heaviest single weights I have are 15 lbs and I quickly outgrew those when I was using the DVDs the first time. I have the adjustable weights now (not the ones in the video...they didn't have great reviews when I was shopping. I have the power block adjustable weights. What's nice about Chalean Extreme is that she uses adjustable weights, too, so there's enough time to select your weight in between moves. I will probably do Body Revolution again or Insanity and then go back to Chalean Extreme. I think it's even better for someone who has less than 25 lbs to lose. I highly recommend it.

^^^ I don't recommend those changable dumbbells, especially if you're going to be working with DVD programs. They usually move quickly, and sometimes it can be a pain in the butt to adjust the weights as you're going. They're also not always the most reliable/stable (depending on the type - the weights might shift, which is irritating, pins can fall out, etc.).

I never planned to own dumbbells, but I bought a couple for p90x... then a couple more as I got stronger... and a couple more. Now I have them all laid out for me, ready to grab depending on which move Jillian (or Tony Horton, or whoever) is throwing at me. Never looked back!

My husband has those Powerblock dumbbells and honestly I can't stand them. They are super awkward and I'm not as quick as he is when changing the weights. But I like that they go up to 90 lbs each (as if I'll ever lift that heavy but I can dream, right? heehee)

I'm hoping for Mother's Day, he'll buy me one of those standing racks with the varying weighted dumbbells so I can move through each set without having to adjust the weights, like I do right now with the Powerblocks.

Ha, I know...we do, right? Always thinking along the same lines, you and I!!

I just joined 2 of the groups on here and haven't heard one person say anything bad about the program yet! Seems everyone who's done it has had success and raves about it.

Seems like a lot of the people combine it with the Turbo Fire program so I'm looking into that as well.

I can never use the Powerblocks if my kids are in the room with me because there have been a couple times where the pins came loose or the locks opened accidentally and the metal weight came flying out and hit the wall. I think I'm in a hurry sometimes to adjust the weights and that's why it happens because my husband makes it look easy when he does it. But me...not so graceful.

Turbo Fire is awesome. The workouts ard fun and still deliver results. The only downfall is it lacks in strength training. I so want hybrid Chalene Extreme & Turbo Fire after my half this fall.

Is it sad I have my workout schedule figured out for the rest of 2012 and it is only April?

Wow, I was just looking at the TurboFire- Fire Starter Workout set with the Low Impact HIIT 20 & 25 minute workouts.
I'm getting spoiled by Jillian with these short workouts and these look pretty good.

    Has anyone done these?

I saw those, too, and was thinking about buying them. I have all of Chalean's sets (the only one I don't have are the advanced DVDs for Turbo Fire). I really like Turbo Fire, but when I did it before it was a bit high level for me. I really love Turbo Fire, but that may be too easy after I finish Body Revolution :).

I think it's important to plan your next program. I made that mistake several months ago. I did P90 from November to mid-February and hadn't decided on what I would do "next" when I finished in February. Instead of taking a week or two off, I ended up taking a six-week break and gained like 6-7 lbs! This time, I will have a plan that I find exciting (because that's the key!). Most likely, I will do Body Revolution again, because if weeks 3 and 4 are any indication, I will not have mastered the next phase's weeks during each two-week phase.

I love the Power Blocks! You do have to get used to them, but once you have them down, they're not too bad.

Still waiting to get JMBR, but like you already have a plan to do the Chalean Extreme and Turbo fire. I heard they are best when done together. I like to go to Amazon to read reviews along with the reviews on fitness pal :). Most products have many reviews and its seem helpful coming from there than the actual products website, you get more of the positive and negative. Best of luck.

3 and 1/2 more weeks of Jillian BR and I'll be starting my ChaLean/Turbo Fire hybrid. Just printed a schedule today. Now, I can't wait to be done with Jillian for awhile!!

I saw Chalean Extreme used on Amazon for $44. No cable or "extras" but I wonder if it is the complete DVD set. I already see JMBR on ebay.
