Actually its not too far away for me anymore. Just did Week 5, day 2.
I must say I'm freaking out a little bit. That last 8 minutes was NOT easy....and in 48 hours I'll have to do 20?
Is this possibly a typo? (lol, j/k. i know its real. but seriously - how on Earth am I going to do this?!?! ack!)

Hahaha seriously it does seem fast doesn't it??? It wasn't easy for me, I struggled, but you can do it! I tried to do week 7 day 1 on Monday...but I was hungover and I failed miserably. So I will re-attempt today! Just remember to SLOW DOWN and BREATHE...
Good luck and let us know how it goes!!!

I have W5D2 today and I'm nervous about that.... the thought of 20 straight minutes on Friday seems impossible!

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Oh my goodness! Its wasn't that hard! I only felt it around the 16 minute mark - and at that point, what was another 4 minutes?
What an amazing run! I'm completely thrilled.
Was 8 minutes really hard for me just two days ago? How is that possible?
    WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and as proof that I didn't die doing 20 minutes here I am in the moments after 20:01. That's actually kind of a smile behind the pain.

I had the same experience. I honestly think it's easier to just run and lose track of time than to do the shorter intervals.

There's a quote I really like (Im not sure to whom it is attributed) that goes like this:

"Whether you think you can, or you think you can't - you are right."

Believe you can do it and you will do it. :)

I was so worried about the 20 min, I made it to 20 and had energy left to do a sprint for another minute.

I think that's pretty much everyone's experience of the 20 minuter hehe! I found myself willing week 6 away so I could get right back to just doing "long runs" each session :)

Yup. In fact, I... um... skipped days 1 and 2 of week six. I enjoyed the 20-minute run so much on Friday that I kept running and ended up going 25 minutes. So, this morning I just ran 22 minutes! I think I'll do that again Weds, and then see how I feel...

I don't like the shorter intervals - they just make me think about the time too much. Now that I'm getting used to running, I think I'd rather focus on just running a bit longer at one stretch.

I spent the last five minutes willing myself to continue.... I did *not* have the energy for a sprint after 20... I nearly collapsed in the grass!!!

But I did make it

I love you all. I have been so worried about those long runs coming up - it's so great to see that others have the same fear and have survived!
