Calorie burns

So I have been doing week one and my HRM is showing about 400 calories burned for each video. That seems very high compared to other people. How are other people's HRM showing for the level one workouts. If it is really out by that much, I might have to try a new one.

When I started, I weighed 248 lbs and my HRM confirmed my burn for all 3 of week 1 workouts was around 350.

I don't trust my HRM to give me an accuate number. I use my average heart rate and calculate what my calorie burn is from that. Let me know if you are interested and I can send you the equation. It's a little complicated but I have it set up in excel so that I enter my average heart rate and the # of minutes I worked out and it calculates my burn.

I would love to get your formula. I was going to do a search for something like that to cross check my number. My heart rate ranged from 145 up to 174, so I was moving hard.

I personally love my HRM - I have Polar ft4 (I think, it's ft4 :)) you wear a band under your chest so the watch gets the most accurate reading. And it's very convinient, you can store all your workout info- length and cal burn everyday.

I have the BodyMedia band and when I do the videos I show about < 220. I'm really disappointed because I feel like I'm dragging my body across the floor like a zombie plugging it in into my monitor.

In fact, I've done the worker 3 times and am surprised that I don't look like everyone on the tv screen.

    I weigh 217 BTW
