I RAN >5K THIS MORNING!!

Today was supposed to be week 6, day 3 for me. But, when I did the 20-minute run last week (W5D3), I noticed it was so easy that I ran extra. Skipped ahead to W6D3 (22 mins) on Monday and Wednesday of this week, and ran extra at the end.
Today, I chose week 7, Day 3 on my app... 25 minutes of running. I also used another GPS app in the background - I hit "start" as soon as my warm-up ended and it was time to start running, so I'd know how long I'd run even if I ran longer than the c25k app timed me.
When the voice cut in to tell me to slow to an easy walk to cool down, I kept running. Five minutes later, it told me I was done (so, 30 minutes), and I kept running. I told myself "when I get to that church I'll walk and see how far I've gone" but by then I felt pretty good. Then, I was near enough to my house that I figured I'd keep going all the way home.
I ran 5.4 kilometers at a pace of 8.97kph!
According to an online calculator, my 5k time was 33:27, which isn't too shabby, IMO.
Yay! I did it!
Now, I need to figure out how to improve my time. I think I'll stick to just running the same distance for a while. I am also going to sign up for the next 5k race being held in Glasgow!
